Mate when NOBODY agrees with you it's usually indicative of:

a) You're much smarter than everybody else, or

b) You're wrong

This forum already has a "I'm much smarter than everyone else" club. I'm the president and we're full. You're wrong.

Somewhere in the distance, OV and Vasilevsky scream out in anger...

PM has scored tries under pressure...for example, his try vs Sharks at Kogarah, where he pushed through 4 defenders and positioned himself to get the ball down. As for your 'reasonable arguments'...lol, they include comparing stats for a winger against stats for a centre and using that to talk up the former and down the latter when their defensive roles are completely different. Laughable.

I use that 'sad old line' to give you the benefit of the doubt. Shocked if you have watched a lot of league and still think Nabuli was first grade worthy, let alone comparable to Lafai.

Yep.....you're a wanker. Confirmation right there....as if we needed it.

You don't like stats, OK watch PM's last 3 games over again. Pay special attention to PM's misreads and missed tackles and what happens as a result of them - for instance, B Moz scoring the opening try in the final against the Doggies - you know, the game we lost by a point, in the finals.

I'm grateful for PM's efforts backing up for us this year to cover injuries and to spare us from Farrell and Nielsen, he did really well most of the time but we have to find a better option to play left wing because PM isn't good enough - we need better than adequate.

Edit: Just noticed you saying I was comparing Nabuli to Lafai - I compared their situation, as in having a good 2013 and a bad 2014 - I wasn't comparing their skill levels you idiot.

Lol so you compare signing a NSW Cup player to a proven, and very good, first grade signing - going so far as to say that they are carbon copies - and I'm the idiot?! Don't think so champ.

Regarding PM...we will see how he goes on the left wing, but in being that all supporters (minus you obviously) will be glad that he is there and not Nabuli!

He was actually a carbon copy of the Lafai signing - prolific try scorer 2 years before, followed by a quiet year ( in Nabuli's case due to a knee injury - a better excuse than Lafai's ). Nabuli did well for us - considering our left centre options were pretty average, to say the least, in attack and giving their winger good ball and space.
It's all academic though, Nabuli's gone and no-one even knows who will be our left wing this year.

Funniest post of the year.

To be fair, the try that Nabuli scored in the final was under pressure. He had the ability to do it, but his lack of game knowledge let him down more often than not. He showed some outstanding promise in the 9s but never really backed it up once the season began. I can't remember all of the tries, but from memory most of them were diving on kicks in the in goal?

Lol what rubbish!

He was resigned when he caught the ball and fell over the line a few times, then let go when they realised he was a bit of a plank. Mata'utia will start at left wing this year, where he is superior to Nabuli in every aspect bar physical height.

In summary, had we kept Nabuli, he would have been handy for Cutters.

Come on Benny don't underestimate Nabuli's height it kept a lot of Benji's passes in play.

Mata'utia is a natural RL player where Nabuli was an upmarket Manfred Moore at 1st grade level and if not for the self promotion of Johns and Fittler would never have made it at all.

Nabuli was a better left winger than Matautai.

PM is a better overall player but lacks the size to be a long term force on the wing.

Mary was one of the great centres of his era
He's an astute coach
He will play the best backline we can muster
Maybe a little trial & error
But that is why we have trials
I'm backing Dugan & Lafai
I like Widdop at FB & Mann at 5/8 or 1/2
Nighty & Milne on the wings but PM would be a consideration as well

Since when is size a requirement of a winger? Pete has strength and when he's played on the wing, hes been fine scooting and running from our end. There are plenty of good wingers who aren't that big!

In saying that, I'd back Milne to take the left wing spot by seasons end...but thats purely because he seems like a freak, nothing against PM.

I agree with kit66. I mean, actually I don't agree with him to an extent. I think Matautai is a better centre than Lafai but a s**t winger. Forwards recruitment has been really good but backs recruitment has been embarrassingly bad. Leave Mann and Lafai to play NSW Cup elsewhere. WhoTF cares about the Cutters??

On a side note, I must note how sad it is Dragons supporters are openly allowing the contents of the discussion be shaped by an open Shonkies fan. How did it come to pass Dragons supporters are so unsophisticated and simplistic as to allow this???? It's not as if this guy is a genius. That would be me, 'Nick' or 'Objective View' pretending to be a Dragons supporter while secretly working to undermine the club. 'Miller was a legend' is playing games with homies he considers ever more stupid than himself.
