I also think its up to the club to have a more effective strategy to keep our good players.Yes and these days when you do good for players by improving their fitness after injury or assist them back into the game after trouble, it is as if that is what you suppose to do. No loyalty when it comes to the end of a contract. No thought that without the Dragons very big heart, you would probably be out of the game earning 60k p/a instead of playing in the NRL for 400k - 750k p/a.
However, if another club is short of a good centre and they offer 100k more a year, its a tough gig for any recruitment manager.
Perhaps the club can focus more on building a more effective and REAL
post football strategy for our players, making it very difficult for our good players to walk away, knowing they will have a bright future post football with us.
