Two courses at indooroopilly but hard to get on i think. Herston is probably the closest and is a good course (apparently).

BBB2 Nudgee No.1 looks like a good course but I've only played the other course and it is average - lot of work going on at the moment.

I haven't played on any of them, so whatever you guys think will do me. Won't make any difference anyway, I suck on every course! :x

My old man plays off 20 and I play off 16 so we are no world beaters.

I'd love to have a round up there with you blokes.

Someone needs to carry the esky!!!

Maybe we should play ambrose or something so we can get to the game on time. ;-)

One day I can hit in the 80's the next I can rack up a Lara'ish score.

Never know what I'm going to dish up!

But I'll make sure I get a few practice rounds in before. ;-)

Another consideration is $$. Courses like Victoria Park (close to Lang park) and Indooroopilly are pretty expensive.

How much are people prepared to pay for a round?

I'll pay up to $100 depending on the quality of the course.

Nah not payin 100 bucks for a game of golf....considering the game and alcahol and the footy and alcahol and then more alcahol and then travel.....it'll end up being a $500.00+ day #-o

Hate to sound like a cheapskate but I'm with coolumsharkie - $100 is a lot for a game of golf! Well, for me anyway.

Blueboatboy - I won't hold it against you (being a leftie)

St Lucia is meant to be a pretty good course about 10 minutes out of the city, not sure on the cost of it though. Its usually fairly busy.
I cant really think of many other decent courses that are close to the city, other than Indro and Vic park.

Guys, Leave it with me and I will make some enquiries. The Caxton is a MUST.

The Original plan that Pierre and I had a couple of seasons ago was to make a full weekend of it.

Friday: Golf
Saturday : BBQ with players
Sunday: Game

Unfortunatley, it simply was not possible with all of the troops coming up from Sydney at different times. What we might be able to do though is have a golf day on Saturday, meet together on Saturday night for dinner and a couple of drinks and then all of us have lunch at the Caxton before heading down to the game.

I realise that everyone will not be able to make it until Sunday, but that might be the best we can do. If anyone has any thoughts please let us know.
