Then they can melt down his bronze statue for scrap and give the proceeds to Cam Smith.
He’s hard up you know
Nah. They'd use the bronze to build the Cam statue out front of AAMI...

Plus a 2nd secret statue
Plus a 2nd secret statue
And if said statue falls and injured someone, it’s their own fault for putting themselves in that position
It is far from that simple. There are many different dementias.Doesn’t dementia just effect short term memory not long term memory?

If he's found guilty I reckon they revoke his immortal status
No doubt that's what will happen. It tells you all you really need to know about the whole idea of having "immortals".

It's about the shame and embarrassment you feel after a sexual assault, You try to put the memory of it into the deepest, darkest recesses of you mind. What makes a victim come forward after waiting nearly 30 years (and I'm not saying for a second that they shouldn't or dont have a right to)
Only Lockyer's joke tops this.
I would have thought the victim would more likely to have been abused by Johnny Raper. I will see myself out.
Yeah nah, I think as veggiepatch said above its often just repressed or just complete fear?I don't have an opinion on whether or not the alleged assault happened, so don't get me wrong here, but am I the only one that finds it slightly dodgy that the victim has waited until Langlands dementia is so advanced that he can't even give a statement to the police let alone be asked to defend himself?
Again don't get me wrong I'm not saying that the victim is lying or that the alleged assault didn't happen, in fact I'm inclined to believe that something may have happened knowing what footy players were like (and what they got away with) back then, it just seems strange to me that they'd pick now to press charges.
Yep I witnessed my uncle die from it horrible disease....People who make jokes about dementia should spend some time with someone with the condition. A truly evil disease.
