Last night proved Pearce is not up to Origin

Gotta feel for QLD, it's kind of hard to win without their best player

7. Mitchell Pearce

I think NSW and QLD fans need to realize that he was simply more important to QLD's success than Thurston, Smith, Inglis, Slater or Cronk.

Hodkinson had 4 great touches of the ball in game 2. He started of by getting a monster touch finder on our first penalty, then got a very good tactical kick away under pressure, after he set up that nice kick for Tupou which led to slater being trapped and finally the try.

However the most important thing he did was not fxxking things up like Piss has for the lash few years.

If you think that you have nfi.

Loosing Hayne from games 2 and 3 last year is what lost us the series. Just as had Hayne not played game 1 2014 we lose.

I love the Pearce hate, I really do as I couldn't give less of a f**k about origin. But to say he's the reason we lost proves posters here have nfi.

Chook.

Well said

Roosters benefited through Pearce and Maloney being available during the origin period.

NSW winning the series while the dogs having lost both split rounds without their halves is the icing on the cake.

Josh Reynolds forced a crucial repeat set that led to the try. Something Pearce could never do. You cannot say the change of halves didn't impact thr change in result.

Reynolds got NSW a repeat set that led to a call from Hodkinson. Those two moments were greater than anything Mitchell Pearce had done at Origin level simply because it was when they were needed. For years we've been begging for halves to step up at crucial moments and we got em.
