Last Storm try after fulltime??

Sorry, but you're still missing it.

I'm guessing you were barracking for the Storm, I saw plenty of of dodgy decision go against Saints - but that's not the point. For the incidents you mention, both teams had the opportunity to overcome any controversial refereeing.

My argument is based on the last error where was no chance of a comeback. Hopefully the NRL will make it so that sort of error can't happen again.

I don't want to see any future contest decided like that for any team, including the Sharks.
No chance? Bullshit.

They still let them throw the ball all over the park ...and put up a cross field bomb and regather and still score.

I tipped the storm.. yeah, like most people I'd imagine.

Lambretta, with respect you should watch the incident.

They did play to the whistle.
The siren sounded before the play the ball.

The siren isn't the whistle.

The Dragons have every right to be pissed off, but I don't think they should be doing it publicly.
This negative talk can't be good for them.

No after the siren sounds the ref still needs to blow the end of the game. The sirens sounds after 80, the ref ends the game. The dragons clearly did not play to the whistle.

The siren isn't the whistle.
You're very observant.

But the NRL use the siren to indicate full time. The referee got it wrong by not blowing his whistle and therefore calling a halt to play. The NRL have said as much.

No point dwelling on this, but it's not park footy and the sirens have been the standard indicator for longer than we can remember.

You mean writing a letter to the NRL? Or is there something else?

Do you think all clubs should just shut up about such things?

To which the NRL have said the ref was wrong.

What game were you watching? Saints were scrambling with 12 men on the field. Melbourne kicked, started throwing hail marys and the ball went from left to right and back to the left. By all accounts, the defence was not standing around.

So are the eels and eagles gonna ask for the 07 and 09 premierships?
Or Parra ask for the 78 semifinal replay to be replayed?
Sucks what happened to St George but at the end of the day , professional sport notwithstanding , we are all still human and mistakes will always be made.
NRL of course has to do everything in its power to minimise mistakes and I do agree that the ball was not played until after the siren started but you can't alter results after the fact. Saints had plenty of chances to snuff out that last play, just like Parra did against Manly

That's exactly what happened. We want them to change it back to the original result 24-22.

It really baffles me why league fans are so insanely stupid that they can't see that this was a royal f**k up that needs to be corrected through changing how time is kept.

The NRL needs to make the end of play reviewable by the video ref with clearly defined guidelines on what constitutes the ball being in play so that this never happens again. Its that f**king simple and anyone who isn't a complete dunce would agree.

Instead we just have a bunch of schoolyard idiots piling on with "lol@merge" nonsense simply because it wasn't their team who got the raw deal. These same fans mind will be the first to cry like little girls the next time a blunder costs their team and loudly wonder why the NRL officiating is so average.

If the tackled player gets up and gets his foot on the ball before the siren its in play i am pretty sure is the rule. They got it wrong but there was less then a second in it.

Or just make one more tackle.

And what if the ref still didn't call time after that? Just make another one, and another and another?

The ref f**ked up big. The dragons did nothing wrong. They have every right to be pissed and I for one hope they never stop complaining until something is actually changed by the NRL.
