PARRAMATTA have received a boost with skipper Nathan Cayless, centre Timana Tahu and five-eighth Brett Finch all passed fit to take part in tonight's clash with Penrith at CUA Stadium.
Richard Fa'aoso has dropped off the bench, with Fuifui Moimoi to replace him.
Penrith coach Matthew Elliott said his side would be as named.

tonight is a really big opportunity to stamp our authority in this comp, we need to make a statement to sides like Melbourne and Manly that we're not a guarentee 2 points when they play us.

they'll be tough...real tough..let's atleast match it with them boys.

It's make or break for Finchy. He'll find himself subbing for rake with Green starting if he doesn't watch himself.

Fui will rip a new hole and provide much needed go forward.

With our superior bench. I think we'll do well.

Lock it in Eddy.

Go fui and go finchy might shut a few people up tonight.

:sarcasm:

Finch is useless

But I stand by the fact that Fui is one of our most important players.

I'm not expecting Fui to play for long periods mainly the back ends of both halves as he'd still be underdone.

I think we are fair bit off from making a statement. Last weeks game was handed to us.

disagree in a way

Love the boys to win and all tonight, no question. How we do it, dont really care.

Way to early to stamp authority in the comp etc. It cant be maintained long term. Let the storm and manly have false sense of security when they play us, we need to show those peasants nothing.

Id rather be on the fringes or in the 8, then make a statement 6-8 weeks out from the semis, and stamp our authority to all comers then

Having said all that, Eels by 16 :D

Well the Cowboys game was handed to them, as was Melbourne's, does that mean they haven't made a statement, infact, Melbourne have had 1 good game this year against the Warriors and The Cowboys last 2 weeks haven't been there best......however they are winning therefore they have confidence......why can't we feel the same?

I thought our defence won the game last week, we were hitting hard and around the ball and it worked, we are all just so pesemistic (including myself) that we are trying to play everything down.

We have improved every week so far, so there is a positive out of the last 2 games that have been "handed" to us (although i feel last week was not handed to us, we would have beat them even if they hadn't dropped the ball, the Tigers however)

maybe I'm jumping 2 or 3 steps ahead, however if we win by 16 at Penrith other sides and the media will take notice however if it an ugly 1 point grind ala Wests Tigers game, than we're still a fair way of the Green.

It would be very interesting to see how they respond to lastweek.

Lots of marbles rolling around this thread. Any of you lost them.

As far as authority on any competition goes, it would be extremely nice for us Eels fans to go through an entire season undefeated. On the other hand it would also be extremely boring for those of us who support the NRL but don't follow the Eels (suckers).

The only game I am hoping the Eels stamp their authority on this season is the one played in October. The rest of it is just numbers.
