I was of the opinion that while nothing had been signed it was close to a done deal, that was 2-3 weeks ago? Perhaps now that they've got that fair with skando they're concerntrating on players been bought in.

he did say that the lure to go to asnother team would be the proposition of playing finals footy.. but first and foremost he would be speaking with the tigers cause he wants to stay on..

Couple of things here,
Firstly, Wiki is a current Kiwi International.
If you check the guys stats he takes the ball up all day and certainly is one of the better big hitters in the NRL.
I guarantee if he played for us last weekend some of those Saints forwards would have copped dominant tackles & they would have been looking for Wiki before strolling through the ruck.
Let's give him a 12 months contract, the young WT guys could learn a lot just playing along side him.
On the down side he continues to cop suspensions for high hits. Sheens would have to rein him in to a certain extent.
Secondly, I was dissapointed with the decision to play both Buttner & Grahame I felt that others had shown over the last 6 weeks their worth at least to get a bench spot over Buttner & Grahame ( Both need to shine in PL before they deserve an NRL spot ) Others have been shining in PL & NRL bench and were overlooked.
Anyway that's footy as long as you keep learning from your mistakes and boy did we get taught a few lessons from a team I believe will be in the Grand Final this year

Don`t you people realise that we have the oldest and most experienced team in the comp?Wake up,smell the roses and realise that it doesn`t work!A handfull of experienced players is a must, but not a whole team full.Don`t take my word for it,just go through the list of players at the leading clubs and you will find they all utilise there young talent much more than we do,even though our youngsters are better talents!!!

Yeh I can read the experience tag at the bottom of every Big League as well and the one that stands out for me is the one under The Roosters Team line up.
Well lets see
Yes that's right they are the most experienced team in the comp.
Funny that they also seem to be leading the comp as well.
That sort of blows that theory.
Honestly this all come down to who we have at the moment that can give us mileage in both attack & defence it should not matter how old they are.
My beef was that two guys on the weekend should not have been in our NRL side without first showing some BALLS in Premier League.
If they are on the field on Friday Night I will have the Shi*ts
BUT I will still be there screaming for my team.........

The point is,we have no Brad Fittlers.Besides Satts,Skando,Hodgo and Moodie our experienced players are only very average footballers!
1.Shane Elford is an average player who occasionally stands out against weaker teams.I`ve yet to see him have a decent game against a quality side.I`m as sure as night comes that Bronson Harrison playing in the centres(he`s not a forwards behind)will trouble any opposition defence he opposes as would Dean Collis.Dean Halatau is progressing nicely and is a constant danger.
2.John Wilson is similar to Elford only not as good.He absolutely poos himself when the chips are down. Not what we need.Whether or not Prince is a better half or 5/8 is irrelevent,Kieran Kerr must be the half back if we are to improve on last weeks debacle if a rematch against the Dragons occurs.
3.We don`t have a genuine line breaking second rower in the club excepy for in my opinion Nigel Plum from the Magpies. But since he seemingly isn`t even in the picture, the only option is to move Satts to the second row and give Liam Fulton a fair go.Whether you think he is ready or not is irrelevent as we must have somebody of his line breaking ability in the side.Alternatively Ben Galea at lock when fit isn`t a bad option.

how the f**k could you not want wiki.

i could understand the doubts on wiki if he was always injured and his workrate and impact were declining, but the fact is he is still getting stronger.
last year he upped his workrate to a new level and again he has topped it this year.
but as mentioned by mcgrime, suspensions could be a worry.

i hoped we would get wiki over a month ago and i still do.
you want a f**king dominant hitter in the middle of the field, you get one with wiki.

don't tell me gibbs or any other prop or second row junior is anywhere near the presence wiki has on the field.

if we are going for both pritchard and wiki, what the f**k is there to complain about.

that's right,it's a wests tigers forum. :p

I agree with you on
Kerr / Must be in the side
Fulton / Needs more NRL game time
Harrison / Deserves a chance in the centres
Wilson / Defence not NRL standard

I have problems with your comments on
Sattler / Skando / Hogo / Moodie
These guys have been some of our best & most consistant this year
Prior to last week
Sattler / Currently highest rated one on one tackler in the NRL
Skando / Leds NRL hit up / yardage followed by 2 fullbacks
Hogo / Top 6 in points / line breaks in NRL
Moodie / Our leading try scorer so far this year.

As for your point 3. We don't have a genuine line breaking 2nd rower
What would you classify Ruben Wiki
That's why I thought we were having this conversation?

Wiki.....Ruben Wiki, I've prayed a bit about him this year.
Prayed he'd get 5 earlier on so he'd miss the Campbo game.
Prayed he'd get 2 yesterday. He'll miss our game again.

Wiki in a Tigers jumper?????

Now wouldnt that piss off some Raiders fans? LOL

I wouldn`t complain if we got Wiki,he is an intimidator that we are lacking, but I seriously doubt he would come here plus his record at the judiciary is not looking good.I wouldn`t mind betting he goes to England mainly for that reason.

Wiki wants a three year deal and a job with a club coaching after he retires.

I'm also hoping he would never line up against the Raiders. I think he will go to England.

As for Monaghan, he will be staying exactly where he is thank you.
