And Parramatta need that money freed up. You don't take Jamies Management for idiots do you? They know that they can effectively void a big chunk of Parramatta's Salary cap, and I think Fitzy knows it too.

If they're doing what you're suggesting then maybe they should be charged with EXTORTION!

Idiotic indeed.

Not really. How can it be extortion? I'm not 100% on this, but did St George take Gordon Tallis to court for sitting his contract out?

The fact remains that Parramatta have most of the power in this situation. There is no way they are going to release him to join another NRL club. He will probably play for Wee Waa and that won't have any effect on Parramatta's salary cap because he will sign a conditional release. The club have measures on breach of contract, Jamie doesn't.

Erm...And If Jamie Doesn't accept the Conditional release, He counts towards you salary cap. Get it? I imagine parramatta will splurge in a big way on the player market and will need every red cent. Fitzy can stick to his guns but he'll be short Jamies Contract money if Jamie does too.

Well if Jamie doesn't accept the conditional release and doesn't play for Parramatta, then he is still in breach of contract, Parramatta will the right to take legal action if necessary.

If Jamie doesn't accept it, then he can be a waterboy, i'd rather see 250K less on the cap then see him at Manly.

If he doesn't the conditional release then I don't think anyone is worried about the cap money. As long as he doesn't go to another club during his contract duration that's fine by me.

Yes karma is a bitch T- Ba thats why u have suffered so much over the last 8 years, because your f**king greedy club plundered other clubs for there Junior talent in the 80s and well into the 90's before u became the NORTHERN EAGLES  great move that one. And it will happen again untill u develop your own f**king players... we've given 8 of them already and u know what, u can have that twig Lyon as well but u still wont win the comp.

And then the entire NRL player payment system is put into scrutiny. You'll be the darlings of Bent St then!

ex·tort: To obtain from another by coercion or intimidation.

Was there a salary cap in 1996?

Was he paid??

Ahhh, I'm with you. So all Jamie has to do is avoid the words "Salary Cap" and he can avoid 'extorting' Parramatta? Doesn't sound too hard.

Bloody hell, why is the entire planet putting the cart before the horse on this one?

The FACTS of the matter are...

1) Jamie Lyon has left Sydney stating he is sick of the NRL/Sydney, and, after 7 years, wants to return home to sort out personal issues. He has asked permission to play for Wee Waa.

2) Parra have drawn up a contract which allows him to play for Wee Waa under certain conditions.

Meanwhiles, all the gossips have him in manly colours, hating Brian Smith, and in the High Court in a massive legal action to allow it. The credible sources? Ray Hadley and (supposedly) News Ltd. Now if Ray Hadlee and News Ltd both stated that they had proof that global warming was all nonsence, I'd move to Nepal quik smart!

Some people have fed off all this and slagged Killer, but I ask you, isn't it better to do as he did rather than keep earning the bikkies and play crap and languish in the Reggies?

UNTIL there is PROOF that Killer wants to go to Manly and break his Parra contract, I'm in his court. He's done eough in the Blue and Gold to deserve that.
