Reports are that the Sunday Papers will be running a report that Lyon wants to play for Manly and will be seeking a full release and is prepared for court action to get it.

All they have to do is make up a believable reason (not true or correct or anything like that) why Jamie should not work at Parramatta and if the court cops it then Jamie can claim he is restrained from working at the job he is qualified for and the level he is capable of.

Probably. Somehow I think Jamie is a bit more shrewd than that, or the people around him anyway. He knows that he holds a fairly big card now and can dangle it over their heads.

You're wasting your breathe T-ba on the salary cap. That's what I was trying to tell them way back in mid April. But they are too thick to understand it.

I don't think it'll come to that. If Jamie accepts Parramatta's offer, whatever the conditions are, then he will play for Wee Waa and the money couldn't go under the cap. I think he'll accept, he's in no position to decline any kind of release if he wants to play football in the next 3 years.
