also i think i heard butt doesn't want to leave man u
He doesn't want to, but if he can't get a shot at a first team place he will consider his options.

- Sir Alex Ferguson has been keeping an eye on Leeds youngster James Milner (whose agent is coincidently Fergie's son, Jason). If Leeds go into administration he could attempt to prise him away during the January window, otherwise he'll wait till the end of the season.

- Real Madrid are chasing Liverpool defender Abel Xavier

- Man Utd are in talks with PSV over dutch wizkid Robben, with the red devils possibly loaning Robben back to PSV for another season to continue his progress.

- Man Utd are on the lookout for a striker in the January window, with Mark Viduka (Leeds), Jermain Defoe (West Ham) and Louis Saha (Fulham) on the shortlist.

- Kevin Hofland is looking to move away from PSV, with England his first choice (that is fact, not rumour). Arsenal, Man Utd and Newcastle were the front runners for the young defender until injury cruelly struck him down over the last couple of seasons. With Ferdinand likely to be suspended for a few months over the drug fiasco, Man Utd may want to reignite their interest.

Emerson leaving Roma due to their financial difficulties to join either Barcelona or Chelsea.

Antonio Cassano being the subject of a 30 Million Pound bid from Manchester United.

Francesco Totti being targeted by Chelsea for approximately 45 Million pounds.

---------------

Of course these rumours, especially the last two, are VERY unrealistic and are most probably fabricated by certain media outlets.

I haven't heard that one at all. What style of player is he?

Short support striker, who can also play in a role just behind two strikers, or as a lone striker.

Brilliant on-the-ball skills, with the ability to pass players with delightful dribbling and evasive footwork. Has only 3 goals this season but 13 assists. Will surely develop into one of the best players in the world.

Is quite arrogant and has known to cause trouble in the past, walking out of training and team briefings. However, this has slowed down, especially this season, whereby his form on the field has done the talking.

Recently made his debut for the full national Italian side and scored in his first game against Poland.

Bought from AC Bari by AS Roma for 18 Million pounds in the summer of 2000. Most expensive transfer fee for a teenager ever. (Was 18 at the time)

I saw on Fox Sports news that Leeds are considering sending Mark Viduka out on loan to Inter Milan. Would be nice to see him there but Leeds will struggle in return without him.

As mentioned before on this forum, Real madrid interested in michael Owen if Liverpool dont make the CL. I was speaking on MSn to another football fan and he said Owen might go to either Milan side. :!: :|

Aah, I've been wondering who it was who was more expensive than Ronaldo (at 12m pounds he was the 2nd most expensive).

Definitely sounds like the type of player that we want. But as I said, I have never heard that rumour before.

Theres no way Big Al will leave the toon behind, he is here till he retires!

as for leeds they are more likely to be able to snap up Viana than sherear, Viana has had limited chances since coming to newy and i guess he will move on

latest rumours...

AYALA TO CHELSEA?
Chelsea are fast learning that being able to buy the best players in the world doesn't guarantee that they will automatically sign. And the latest player to turn down the wallet of power is Valencia defender Roberto Ayala. Valencia president Jaime Orti said on Tribal Football that the club rejected a £8.5m bid from Chelsea and have no intention of selling their Argentinean defender. Orti continued: "We are only interested in strengthening this squad for the campaign ahead, not weakening it. We must keep this squad strong to maintain our challenge. The players we have are great, which is why so many clubs want to sign them."

OVERMARS TO LIVERPOOL
Liverpool fans will be perplexed to learn that Gerard Houllier's master plan to save the club from mediocrity is to sign Barcelona's brilliant but ageing Dutch winger Marc Overmars for £5m. While the Reds have long been in need of some natural width to provide attacking support for Michael Owen, with the injury crisis such as it is at Anfield, signing Overmars appears to be a short-term solution and not one that will appease the fans. More worrisome, however, is that Barcelona want to take Norwegian wing-back John Arne Riise in exchange.

VIDUKA TO MANURE
Alex Ferguson has fuelled speculation that he will be signing Leeds' Aussie striker Mark Viduka in January by watching the burly hitman in action against Man City on Monday night. A bid of £5m pounds is expected after a previous £3.5m offer was supposedly rejected on Friday.

AND THE REST
Bradford's Bryan Robson wants to sign out-of-favour Ipswich striker Alun Armstrong on a short term deal...Spurs and Southampton are both chasing Brentford's 24-year-old goalkeeper Paul Smith...Leicester are trialing 20-year-old Lincoln United winger Chris Hall...and Celtic want Newcastle keeper Steve Harper as a replacement for Rab Douglas, but the Hoops must sell Swedish international Magnus Hedman to the Magpies in exchange.

Leeds wont be selling Viduka. Trevor Birch, our CEO, told the AGM today that the club wont be selling anybody. Why sell someone for £5m and then get relegated due to lack of goals and lose £25m in revenue. Those figures dont add up. The transfer fee we'd receive for Viduka wouldnt help the debt in anyway whatsoever, so there's no point in selling him.

So it is absolute bollocks that Viduka will be going to Inter in January on loan? Pfftt your shares wouldnt be worth much? I would rather buy shares in Man u, even though I dont support them, it would be better off finicially for it.

BTW I'm not fincial expert though. Also for all those who post in this forum who celebrate xmas, have a merry and safe xmas. And DONT DRINK AND DRIVE.
