Slater and Hayne were erratic and error prone when they first came into first grade, Slater especially. I remember a lot of people saying he should never play Origin before he scored that famous chip and chase try.

Roosters have a 23 year old fullback named Omar Slaimankhel -- the only Afghan in the professional rugby league -- who is a good player and is in the NSW Cup. They could have used him.

Slaimankhel's only problem is that he cannot pronounce the "th" sound. Instead he uses the "f" sound. So instead of saying "I think that's OK" he says "I fink fat's OK." Maybe that would have caused problems in communicating with the rest of the team, which already has to deal with a north of England accent from Joe Burgess.

I get where you're coming from, but I don't think the public nature of Cordner ripping into him for taking an option which didn't turn out great is the way to go

Yeah it is. f**king man up.

I hate all this "well done. You f**ked up and put us under pressure. Good on you. Have a pat on the back" bullshit we see week in week out.

If someone f**ks up, let em know it.

You don't console someone for doing well. You give em praise. That had to be earned.

I think the pats on the back is more about "hey mate, just forget about it and get on with the job" not "well done for f**king up"...

He has awesome hand eye coordination, some of his catches from kicks are freakish. He has a lot of confidence and presence for an 18 yr old too. I think he will be a top 10 player in a couple of years.

Spot on, Fifita needed an uppercut from Gallen yesterday, not a pat on the back. What goes around will come around, won't be long before Latrell is telling Cordner to try and keep up
