As for McGregor's endorsement of Dugan at fullback, he said if he was here next year and Dugan was here next year then Dugan will be fullback next year. He wasn't exactly taking a long term view on this, and he was the one that moved Dugan to centre in the first place, not only once but twice! Millward was talking long term when he spoke of Dugan as a centre but at least there is reasoning involved, even if you don't agree

As for the statements in the public I think it was going to come out anyway. Millward may or may not have acted right but Dugan was playing that game too and when he confirmed what we already knew anyway.

I just think Dugan had certain expectations, we were not willing to meet them and that never change (as much as Dugan hoped it would), so he left.

He has and was MOM in origin.

By this thinking Langlands wasn't a fullback or Billy Smith wasn't a halfback or Lockyer wasn't a fullback or Brett Kenny wasn't a 5/8 or Valentine Holmes isn't a fullback or Darius Boyd isn't a fullback. Its not about being a centre or fullback, its about what is the best combination that can be put on the paddock. All of the players mentioned above played in a couple of positions depending upon other players available and the balance of the team.
True
And don't forget Joey played a lot of dummy half in rep to suit the balance
