Laumape has gone. End of.
You can if you know why and im pretty sure Laumape has stated in the press the Warriors didnt want him and said he wasn't going to be kept.
http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/71992949/NZ-Warriors-will-honour-contracts-of-unwanted-playersThe Warriors have no issues about honouring the contracts of players they're looking to offload for next season.
Andrew McFadden and the coaching staff identified a couple of months ago which players they'd invite to have a look at moving elsewhere.
Players they wanted to offload included John Palavi, Ngani Laumape, Matt Allwood, Sione Lousi, Siliva Havili and David Bhana.
Laumape has made the move back to rugby and will play for the Hurricanes and Manawatu next year, while Havili will join the Dragons after failing to make the most of his opportunities at the Warriors.
But there are other players who are on contract for next year that either haven't been able to find other clubs or don't want to move.
Like the situation with Robbie Farah at Wests Tigers, the club can't force a player out.
However, although there's no suggestion the Warriors would do this, an NRL club can make it hard for a player they want rid of and in the past there have been instances where a club has asked a player to do training sessions alone at ridiculous times and venues.
The club hope the player doesn't turn up and then they can dismiss him for breach of contract.
The Warriors will keep the players they'd prefer to move on with next year although it will be spelt out to them clearly that they'll only be playing reserve grade. Only if a player becomes a disruptive influence will the Warriors look at paying him out.
"When you sign a contract that's what it's there for, to give security to both the club and player," McFadden said.
"When any of those sorts of situations happen, there has got to be some sort of amicable deal that's done so that both parties are happy.
"When you're moving players on it's not easy, but you try to be open and transparent with them. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't."
Bhana, who had captained the NYC and reserve-grade sides and signed a two-year contract last year for 2015 and 2016, recently posted an emotional message on Instagram, indicating that he won't be staying around next year and saying how heartbroken he was that he never got to play in the NRL for them.
"Last training as a professional Warriors player tonight," he wrote.
"So many tears and blood spilt on this field for this club. It's been my dream to play for the Warriors and absolutely gutted that I didn't get a shot to pull on that NRL Jersey here but if I want to make that dream true I have to move on.
"The future is uncertain which has given me plenty worries lately but my focus is on winning a championship with the Warriors Cup breathers (sic) now.
"Kick in the teeth how it's ended but have to stay positive and take on the challenge ahead.
"Thanks to everyone so far who's helped me, met some great people through this club, going to miss this soo [sic] much!"
:lol:Laumape probably saw what happens with league reject Milner Skudder and thought that option could look good. Laumape has more experience than Milner Skudder, though a different type of player.
Milner Skudder was an 'also ran' in League and a superstar in rugby. Can Laumape do that too? Guess so.
Are you calling bullshit on writer of the article I posted Meth? You never know with this club, but I can't imagine that we wanted to get rid of him.
If the Warriors didn't want to keep him it would've been because he didn't want to play for them. No point forcing someone to see out a contract if he doesn't want to be there.Laumape's homecoming can be largely attributed to Manawatu coach Jason O'Halloran, who has stayed in contact with a player who had always maintained he would return to his first love of rugby union.
"He'll just ring me up sometimes and see how I am. I just kept talking to him and letting him know I want to come back and we finally sorted something out this year," Laumape said.

Grow up with the league v rugby bullshit. NMS wasn't an also ran in league, he just didn't want to carry on after the U20s - and he took a while to work his way through the ranks in rugby as well.
Laumape was a NZ Schools rugby player who was always going to return to rugby but it appears the Warriors helped him make the decision a bit quicker than expected.

This whole post highlights that you're not mature about it.As someone who has to fight the League v Union battle every day with kids at College and the pressure they get to play union over league, I think I'm pretty mature about it and need not grow up.
So you really really think, that if Milner Skudder was swamped with offers from Australian League clubs he would have preferred to go home to be on the dole in Palmy North? Don't make me laugh.
