Laying off

I've got a pretty huge collect on Hingis winning the French Open, and I'm thinking about laying off on some of the other players. The problem is that Hingis still has to win three games for me to collect, and Henin Hardene is pretty short fav at $2.20. So I'd have to put a stack on her and hope she wins or back Hingis's opponents, who seem to be favorites at this stage(Klijsters is $1.60 against Hingis tonight).

Does anybody lay off often or have any ideas?

I usually set up a multi so that the last leg is played on a later day, so that I can lay off, and I usually only do so to double or triple the amount of the original outlay plus the hedge — not to get an even result no matter what the outcome is.
But if you have three matches to go, I say hang in there, and pray.

It's the last leg on a four leg parlay, so the original outlay isn't much. There's too many options I think atm so I'll just have to get my rosaries out and sweat a bit.

Do what Coleman said and pray. If she gets to the final (depending vs who) then lay off...but only lay off if you are expecting a return of at least 4 figures. Anything less than that and it is not worth it.

It's almost four figures, so I think I'll just wait for the final. I put $50 on Henin but there's no way I can cover all the other players and still get a decent return. Hingis is on in 2 hours so wish me luck

I found this place to be somewhat of a mock. 9/10 times when i state my bets on here and they seem to be a "good thing" they lose.

Yeah she didn't go too well. She was the longest in the parlay and I collected on the other legs so I wasn't too annoyed. I think we just need Moffo to say it's a sure thing!

There has been some major upsets in recent times in the sporting arena, 95% of them are mentioned in here to win some $$$ and the next thing you know....GONE
We haven't learnt anything from it though, we keep coming back and mentioning our certain bets.
