Mortimer has 2 for the season. Do you really think Thurston got 14 LBAs on the weekend? The best playmakers usually end up with just over 1 per game (so about 30 for the season).

Mortimer had the last pass for each of Haynes LB & tries. Does that not constitute a LBA?

No.

The pass has to create the linebreak for it to count as a LBA. Mortimer's passes put Hayne into a bit of space but he still had to make his own breaks.

Most of the time it's clear cut; sometimes it could go either way.

For what it's worth, I didn't think either of Hayne's linebreaks were even close to being a LBA for Mortimer.

Both of Hayne's tries were individual efforts so no LBA involved in either, no doubt about it.

I like this thread. Couple of questions:

* Any reason why Try Assists are not also on there? I think they are just as important to a playmaker.

* Any chance (this might be tough) of having how many games (or minutes) each player has played? This may lend some more science to it, especially with rep games just around the corner.
