So one factor we are missing which rarely gets touched on is leadership primarily on the field. I think Riccio said Wade is not a talker and is a reluctant Captain. In 2016 we had a bunch , BBQ,Gal,Lewis, Ennis.
This year....crickets.

We need a club captain, someone a team is built around.
Is McInnes the man for the job?

IMO this will be huge factor in getting us out the mire. It’s why we look so insipid at times, ruder-less. We need a on field leader. Leave Wade free to see if he can find his game again.
Good teams have strong leaders, we don’t have one. Is the captain of our enemies our new captain?

Depends on who else comes. I believe Connor Watson is a real stand up guy and pillar in the community who can play a role off the field. I don't see an onfiled captain in the current lot, without having the access to them all to know of course. The qualities can't be judged from the sideline or the TV or the odd feel good story that comes out.

All I know is I will continue as the leader in here.

Because I can. Because I will, Because I am.

^^ these are more observations.

I can’t believe you are ignoring Stake in this particular observation

Wilton is showing signs of being a leader in 2-3 years.
He was great again last night, playing in the middle this time, helped plug some of the shocking gaps there.

Next year McInnes by default ?
I don't think he has much presence / influence with the refs though.

Wouldn't be surprising at all to see Wilton captain the Sharks one day - he was captain of Jersey Flegg and NSW U20s.

Yes to Wilton, in time. Has a Boyd Cordner like persona about him. Not in playing style. In carriage and ethic.

I don't like him at centre but there is a reason other than staff shortages they are doing that

Yeah it’s a bit of a puzzle atm. I feel we need someone to steady the ship when shit goes down.
So far McInnes looks likely to be it.
Agree on Wilton in 2025.
Of course we had such strong leaders in Gal and Lewis.

Chambers is a winner with a big mouth who isn't scared to say it how it is. Let him have a crack at it.

Very serious issue. Strong captaincy supports personal accountability, something we’ve been sorely lacking.

It was always meant to be Wado, but I have to agree he’s been underwhelmingly average,

McInnes? Wilton? Brailey? SJ?
