Leading the comp

It’s difficult to maintain the same intensity every week in the NRL especially considering we have 4 origin players and like 8+ rep players in the starting side. I get where you’re coming from but I don’t believe in the modern age you can expect a team to be smoking every single team they come up against. It’s more like every few games you’ll see a top team absolutely demolish another. I think the fact that we play so shit and end up winning the games is an indicator of how clutch we really are as a side. Just an opinion though from what I’ve seen the last couple of years from premiership winning sides.
Couldn't agree more mate!! The fact that we can play average but still find a way to win is exactly what the good sides do.

Also, I think the fact that we still have so much improvement in us is extremely exciting! To be leading the comp but still have so much to work on is a really good sign and I still think this side has the potential to grow and become even stronger. I also don't think it's bad that we're not playing our best footy right now and it's kind of to be expected, I mean, look at how disrupted the last little period has been with Origin and the two bye weeks and there's no doubt that's haulted the momentum a wee bit. But now, we are getting to that time where we will hopefully really fire up and build to our full potential.

I'm super excited but we must not get ahead of ourselves!!
