Working on the table as we speak...
I generally haven't worried about which is the home team and which is the away. Because there is only enough time to play each team once, games are best played at a neutral venue. As such, it's easiest just for whichever team is on first to make the challenge and the other can accept it when he gets on. Some teams just can't get on until a certain day later in the week, so to make the rule that Mambo is talking about would effectively rule those teams out.
I guess making these changes would be a good thing from the point of view of us managers who are more active, as it would help ease the worry of losing out on a friendly. So from a purely personal point of view I would definitely like it. But I would also feel a bit sorry for managers like Ernesto who has proven that, although he doesn't accept until late, he almost always does accept.
Today I've been asked to start yet another new job tomorrow (that's now three different jobs at the newspaper where I work, all at different times and days). So I think I can now say for certain that I won't be able to run the Cup next season. I have no problem jumping on the computer quickly before I go to work or before I go to bed, but don't get enough free time to organise things.
