You do know he plays for them now. A player from the Titans involved in a rape case brings the Titans into the story by association. One could argue that the Tigers shouldn't be associated with the story as he has no links to them anymore.

As for the Broncos:

Bennett vs. The Broncos Board. It started in 2006 when Bennett went beind the clubs back to discuss a possible deal with the Roosters. It escalated in 2007 when Bennett shocked the children (according to Razor) and didn't acknowledge anyone when he received a special award from Bruno Cullen. In 2008 word got around about the Thorough Breeds and how they were paying Bennett $100K in cash. So I suppose you can argue that the conclusion of this feud was a sour note for the Broncos.

Also Bennett's apparant raiding of the club. Acquiring Jeremy Hicksman and Darius Boyds services for next year caused a stir in the media.

As stated earlier, it has happened 100 times since Round 1 and there are only 2 reasons why it was contrversial:

1. Craig Wing was injured
2. Jason Taylor pissed and moaned and claimed that the Roosters players did it deliberately to hurt Craig Wing and saw the players "eyes light up" before the incident. And also claimed that the Roosters players communicated between themselves to calculate the exact time to hit Wing.

It was a fair challenge, sure its unsavoury but if it didnt result in an injury, f**k all would have been said.
