The Goon Show (remember when it was done as a puppet show Sock ?) and then Spike and the Q's.
I had a couple of Goon Shows on vinyl and also had the books.

i was an absolute goons fanatic - records, cassettes, milligan's books as well. they were the first comedians i ever heard & my father & i would religiously listen whenever in the car or at home alone.
i lost count of the amount of thrashings i copped after lights out at boarding school for laughing courtesy of my walkman.
absolute genius!
