Legacy of the 'big 3'

I've overlooked the agents who I'm sure would be aware that something isn't right. They should be held accountable too.
If a player is given a banned substance by someone they trust at the club, they are still responsible despite being mislead. I would expect contract negotions to be treated in a similar way.

Difference is unless you see an audited set of accounts identifying every player payment how do you know if the extra $50k they are offering you is putting the whole club roster over the cap?

Apart from Waldron, the single biggest villain of the piece was Peter O'Sullivan - the Storm's recruiting manager. There is no doubting that he did know exactly the extent of the breaches.
It's yet another blight on Gallop's tenure that POS was allowed to continue at the Roosters.

If they somehow lose next week; cronk, Slater, and cam Smith will have won one premiership. If that's the end of Slater and cronk's nrl careers, they will surely be remembered as failing to achieve much in club footy over long careers. Also winning percentages of games they played should be adjusted taking into account how their team cheated the cap and would have lost all the games in those seasons. The club has only won as many premierships in the last 12 years as souths, Cronulla, Broncos, etc. Much more should be made of the two sets of books when assessing their club careers.
The problem with this attitude is that Slater, Cronk and Smith were not illegally made better players because of the salary cap saga. Once the side was cap compliant, they were still great players.

The players didn't manage the salary cap, so I don't see why they should be punished for actions beyond their control.

Okay - I don't watch the Footy Show much - it's like a crappy gameshow to me - but I watch a lot of the Fox products; and I don't see Smith. Maybe he's not allowed out on weeknights.
Think he's too busy sailing his '3rd party' boat through a sea of freshly printed '3rd party' dollars for any mid-week media commitments.

haha we only cheated people out of the spoon, no one is upset except ourselves. For mutiple years you denied teams not only playing in a grand final but winning it as well nd to top it off celebrate your cheating, you can't get more scummy than that

I was able to catch a couple of past Storm GF matches. One thing I am certain is that Slater has the best legacy of the lot on account of him leading with them in goal line defensive situations.

Good call idiot.

They certainly didn't hurt their legacy tonight. That last play was just rugby league magic

Need to find that bunniesman thread from 4 years ago (the year after they just won the premiership) where he told us all the big 3 are past it because their combined age is nearly over 100.
