I'd rather a drinking competition, see who is the biggest pisshead in the nrl. Players that enter would obviously get a 24 hour pass for any misbehaving they did.

Could even do a legends comp aswell and through the grades HM and SG ball as curtain raisers.

Would they have to bring their own fake ID's to be able to participate in the drinking competition?

Get Julian O'Neill out of retirement for that one, probably need to lock up any stray shoes though.

Imagine a room full of current and past great pissheads with a few wildcards from the younger grades thrown in the mix all getting smashed. Shit would get real, really real.

I'd like to see Sam Plodkins, Jarryd Hayne and Wazn in a match race down the straight at Rosehill. Call it the Haynetrain Derby

Seems like a competition tailor made for Craig Gower. Throw a few members of the Pearce family in towards the end and watch hilarity ensue

Gower would be in there for sure, probably Royce from Penrith aswell. Better only have two past legends per team otherwise the f**kers might start a riot.

I'm all for a novelty event but maybe not as a stand out day. Every year we have the debate about who should be the GF entertainment and toss a coin between the Australian Idol and the X-Factor winner or something. It's s**t. If they want entertainment between games on the big day then footy related stuff would be better.

The NBA all star w'end has novelty events like the 3-point shootout, dunk comp, skills contest. NRL could ride that idea for GF day with a sprint race (I'd rather find the fastest front rower lol). They could have a goal kicking comp styled on a game of h-o-r-s-e (a knock out game) perhaps.

Make the prize worth it - $50k the winner and $50k to their charity. That should gets some solid entrants.

The off season is important and I don't think we should mess with it too much. By the time the best players get back from test matches and get ready for the 9's, there isn't much room in between for other events.

DAMN, these are some good ideas.

But don't reserve them all for the GF have em throughout the finals series with maybe teams that have been knocked out or something.

Have the fastest front rower on GF day, i would watch the shit out of that

All the teams train until the grand final weekend anyway because that's when the players are contracted to. They could hold the events between NSW/Toyota cup and the main game, and the final of the 100m sprint during the grand final half time.
