First post here. I have been following the forum for years now and gotten to like/dislike all the regulars ;)

24 born and bred in Winston Hills. Have been an eels tragic for that time. Work in Sales for a cloud computing company. Fortunate enough to be at Jarryd Hayne's debut last week for my first NFL game.

A little bit more about me:

35 years old, and never been married.
Grew up in the South-West of Sydney, and stayed there up until a couple of years ago when I moved closer to the city to be near work (the commute was driving me insane). I never lived in Parramatta, but I have followed the Eels since the 1984 Grand Final. That was also the day that my immense hatred of all things Canterbury formed (the illegal shoulder pads proved they were complete merkins).

I'm a pretty decent cook. I do love to spend some time in the kitchen (f**king hate cleaning everything up afterwards though). I make a pretty mean lasagne, and my pork ribs are to die for.

I've just started dating a woman who is way out of my league, but she seems to really like me anyway. Being a nice guy finally paid off, haha.

I'm obviously a mad Eels fan, but I also am a big San Francisco 49ers fan. I also follow the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA (not because of Bogut...I was a fan since the days of Vin Baker, Glenn Robinson and Ray Allen), and am partial to the SF Giants in the MLB.
I was never very good at sports. Was a skinny little winger in League when I was young, but I gave that up quickly. Played some tennis, and got pretty good at it, but it became boring so I left that as well. I'm completely shit at tennis now which shows how much I had to work on it back when I played. Was ok at basketball, but only on defence - couldn't shoot to save my life. Now my exercise consists of running, walking and the occasional gym visit.

I have been a member of this board for 6 years, but I used to be under a different name (Fifty Metre Line). I only post occasionally, but I read it almost every day to see what's happening. The difference between now and when I first started is unbelievable. The fights that go on, while sometimes entertaining, are a sad reflection of what has happened to our football club. We really need our team to start winning or else this place will just get worse. It's sad to see posters refuse to come back, no matter who they are.

This thread has shown that we are all different people, but we all have one huge thing in common - We are Parramatta supporters. We love the club enough to come on here to talk/bitch/whine/celebrate/commiserate/laugh/argue with each other. We can get on each other's nerves at times (some more than others) and the conflicts can help generate discussion, which is what this place is all about. But sometimes it can go too far. We are all frustrated about how our team is performing. We all may have different opinions on how it could be improved. But lets try to remember the most important thing that sometimes seems to be forgotten:

We Are Parramatta!

I owe Pou an apology. It wasn't him it was eels81236. And he just said 'f**k off, newbie'.

Looks like I deserved it too, as I posted this in the 'Long Term Forumites' thread:

Ahhh the memories Mr Pmatta. I made my first post in 1947 using a souped up abacus, and didn't get a single reply. Looks like things have hotted up a bit since I visited the site.

Sorry, but what's that? Some sort of cloud-counting organisation?
Welcome.

Due to leaving Sydney when I was young, I've only ever seen 2 live NRL games. One was when I think Storm and Penrith played over here in Adelaide, the other was Eels v Warriors at Parra Stadium in 09. Haynzy, his son and I went over and stayed at Suity's house and went to the game. I'll never forget it. my son is finally getting to the age that I'm thinking of another trip over.

Wow. I guess i take going to Parra games for granted.

Hopfully we are firing next year mate and you and the young fella can come over and see a win!

Haha, I guess you could say I'm still in the process.
I am a very lazy f**ker at times. I've done a few but forgot about it after a while.
Thanks for reminding me. I'll have to go and finish the job now.
