Is PW Jerry from days of old? I only ask because from what I can recall if he is Jerry he would have a great grasp of international union (and therefore league in those countries) because being the international jetsetter he was he played in comps in every pacific island nation (usual concurrently) and Australia wide, maybe even all of Europe. Woodsy was possibly his agent (they seem very close).

The union WC TV final audience was watched by 23 million not 25 million -See Initatives 2004 report. Out side of the top 5 rated countries it was watched by a little over 2 million.

Even in England there is some doubt that union even is the second biggest (spectator)football code.

You really are as thick as some make you out. Certainly a disgrace to the proud Tongan race.

What are you talking about same year fool.

Read below and the NOSE DIVE occured this year not in 2004. The nose dive in the figures this year prove that the hangover from the world cup was indeed over. Now the Bloodyslow is no longer shown live around the country due to sh*t ratings in Vic and SA.

The Bloodyslow (yawnion's big event) now rates on par with a Friday night footy match in Brisbane and Sydney.

The Perth figures seem alright if as I think the game was screened late at night. I believe the the game about 24th for the week in Perth.

This game is the only RU game in Brisbane to feature in the top 50 TV programs so far this year. The ratings are down 41,000 from the 330,000 achieved for last year's match. In Sydney the drop was 126,000 from 603,125 to 477,000.

This Bledislow Cup game came 17th for the week (Oztam ratings-Capital cities) last year. This year it came it came 47th.

Let's see how low the Bloodyslow can drop in 2006.

Should be rather amusing and may create a form of paranoia from a certain Tongan that frequents here !

ANd how did RU get to its undoubted position of proliferation above league?

By using immoral methods such as banning any of its players from ever playing union again if it tried RL just once.

RU's attitude towards league over the decades was the reason my love for the superior technical and tactical sport grew to accomodate a hatred for RU. I could never support a movement with such a terrible history.

The reason you union types hang out on here is due to fear and nothing else. You have to massage your insecurities by verbally jousting with leaguies: you know that union is inferior in every way, you know that league is growing rapidly since the ban was lifted in 1995 (research Hansard), you also know that you want to watch RL but you've tied your colours to the good ship rah rah.

I apologise if this is meandering down The Fight Club path, but the only - THE ONLY - argument rah rahs have is 'my sport's bigger than yours' without ever addressing whys and wherefores.

Blah blah ! Cry me A River :p

Turdy fafafine,

Is there anything that goes on around you that you comprehend?

You and rugbynotsoccer embarrass Rugby Union with every word you type. You can literally hear the cringing.....

Thank you for existing.
