Rebel is suspect as hell either way.

Vigilante, try and kill Whall, since he is protected.

If you want to kill your only protector left in this game, then o ahead.

And of course Pm's are allowed. How else can the mafia send each other their qt's

You can only talk privately to the players named in your pm normally. It is definitely against the rules.

It's not in the rules.

If he wants to risk accidentally telling a mafia player or an indie what he can do, that's how own stupid fault.

Exactly. It was a risk, but I figured whall was town.

Not so sure now based on what he did. Not against rules in any way shape or form.

No PMs aren't allowed. The QT's are something that someone else brought in during an earlier mafia game. Town aren't suppose to communicate in secret. That is a Mafia power.

I am mulling that over TBH. The only thing stopping me is I didnt bother posting the rules in the intro post as everyone knows them by now.

My understanding is that communication with any player about the game outside the thread is forbidden without permission from the Mod.

Mafia, Cult, One off town alignments etc are covered as having permission via the role PM's or a PM from the Mod activating something mid game.

If a townie wants to pm another person, then it is that player who takes that risk because who knows what that person can do with the info.

It isn't against the rules at all and if I die for it, I'm going to have a bm meltdown.

This is why I have held off. I will have a look for the rules on Mafia Scum as that is what we have defaulted to in the other games.

I've played games where it is forbidden to commuicate away from the game thread, but how do you police SMS and MSN and Skype and such?

Dutchy and I have been known to communicate on the regular via text in other games.

That is the issue, it is something impossible to police.

My opinion is the idea of the game is everything should be in the thread for others to use as info. To discuss things outside the thread can detract from the game. Opinions aren't rules though.

And at times not very subtle either.
