Vote: Rebel

Stan can target whall if we really want him confirmed. He doesn't seem to mind targetting townies anyway.

If a townie wants to pm another person, then it is that player who takes that risk because who knows what that person can do with the info.

It isn't against the rules at all and if I die for it, I'm going to have a bm meltdown.

Not nice guys :( All I wanted to do was join in. Me and No Vote will go play on our own then...

Ok since people are outing themselves... who here is a female?

Bloody hell, the line is "Are there any women here?"

Rebel just sent me a PM.

It is the following:

I was going to get up you for posting a PM, which is against forum rules, but I understand why you did it in this case. A fundamental aspect of Mafia is that the town cannot communicate outside the thread unless given specific permission by the host. Everywhere else I've played this has been made an explicit rule (usually written something like "you do not talk to anyone about this game outside this thread, unless given permission to do so by the host"). I hadn't actually picked up that it wasn't in the rules here, but it absolutely should be in all future games. The fact it relies on the honesty of the players is not a good argument against it being a rule, because it fundamentally changes the game if people don't abide by it. I would hope that those of us who play this game at LU are big enough to not resort to cheating to win just because we can get away with it. Note that Mafia was originally a party game, with everyone sitting together in the same room, so a rule like this wouldn't have been necessary. Translating to the online environment, it IS necessary.

If a townie wants to pm another person, then it is that player who takes that risk because who knows what that person can do with the info.

It isn't against the rules at all and if I die for it, I'm going to have a bm meltdown.

Go and read the Wikipedia article on the game, or check out mafiascum.net. The whole premise of the game is there is an uninformed majority who can only communicate publicly against an informed minority who are able to communicate privately. The addition of power roles obviously alters this, but there are trade-offs to maintain the balance of the game, and it is all in the control of the host. What you are doing seriously disadvantages the Mafia. It is a massive oversight on the part of Misanthrope (who wrote the rules that other hosts have by and large simply copied) to not rule this kind of thing out. It is also a massive fail on my part for not picking it up.

Vote: whall

I have nfi what is going on here, all I've got is that we apparently confirm a townie by lynching whall.

Having said all that, if the host has failed to make it a rule that townies cannot freely communicate outside the thread whenever they feel like it (as game-breaking as that is), then Rebel cannot be punished for it. I would strongly suggest soc make it a rule from this point on however.

More information: I don't who butch stole a power from on night 1, but I know he directed it against Ozzy. I note Ozzy didn't post at all on day 2. Perhaps he was silenced? Hard to know, because day 2 passed so quickly.

HH's blocking plan is quite amusing. He intends to keep blocking Drew-Sta, and if Drew is dead, to switch to me (which is incredibly dumb if he's town, quite smart if he's scum). If both of us are dead, he doesn't want to block anyone (he sent in a blocking schedule for a few nights because he's not going to be around much, I believe).

Power redirector or power copyer? They are normally town, because once an investigator outs himself, Maggie just continually copy their power.

Role block can go either way.
