I remember some hacks had a go at Bohemian Rhapsody (The Braids in 1996, after a quick Google search).

nice person daddy also tried (unsuccesfully) grandmaster flash's "the message", wu-tang clan did a great job on sucka mc's (run-dmc),2pac - changes was more a sample with different 2pac acapella's put together (youll notice lines outta i wonder if heaven got a ghetto), ice cube didnt do a good job of a remake wit chris rock of 2pac's you aint got to lie (ta kick it), necro came off tight of a comedic remake of LL Cool Js "i need a girl" on "i need drugs" and did a fairly good comedic/sick pornographic job of the doors "light my fire", trick daddy did a more pimped version of ice-t's "99 problems" than jay-z (which is how it shud of been jigga!!) and a better job imo

Most of the rap you se on Video Hits or whatever is rubbish, but there is some quality stuff out there.

Agreed.

Back in the days of Public Enemy rap was actually decent. Fear of a Black Planet is one of my favourite albums.

These days I don't see the slightest shred of talent in rap/R'n'B

N.E.R.D (well, just Pharrell now), Outkast and Kanye West are the only ones in the current breed that I can stomach. The rest is just rubbish.
