U2 at the Olympic stadium were pretty dull, pearl jam at acre were surprisingly flat and I'd have to say tool the second time at BDO, had no response to rammstein. Guetta at Bondi for shore thing was a crazy experience

Wish I could see snoop dogg, pumpkins 15yrs ago and nirvana 20 years ago

These are the actual bands I've paid to see off the top of my head (missing at least another 100 I'd say when missing repeat gigs)...

AC/DC
Alexisonfire
Anthrax
Arch Enemy
Avenged Sevenfold
Black Label Society
Bad Religion
Blink 182
Chimaira
City and Colour
COG
Daft Punk
Danzig
Dark Tranquillity
Deftones
Dream Theater
Eric Clapton
Eric Johnston
Faith No More
Fantomas
Fear Factory
Frenzal Rhomb
Gamma Ray
Helloween
Incubus
In Flames
Iron Maiden
Joe Petrucci
Joe Satriani
Karnivool
Lamb of God
Lost Prophets
Machinehead
Megadeth
Metallica
Nightwish
The Misfits
Muse
Pearl Jam
Pennywise
Portishead
Queensryche
Offspring
Rammstein
RATM
Rise Against
Sepultura
Sevendust
Snob Scrilla
Sonata Arctica
Soulfly
Steve Vai
Static X
System of a down
Tomahawk

Then there is 8 BDO's, 4 soundwaves, 3 field days, 2 park lifes, 2 future music festivals, a come together festival, harvest festival, stereosonic, about 10 north american festivals (coachella, sonic boom x 2, heavy mtl x 2, lollapalooza and a few smaller ones)

Wow, you don't realise how many bands you've seen until you write it out, probably explains my bank balance... Best I've seen are City and Colour, Eric Clapton and Rise Against. Cog always hold a special place in my heart too.

Couldn't be farked listing the bands and probably can't remember them all anyhow but in terms of gigs, one that stands out as right up there happened in a small club in a small town in central queensland

Toe to Toe
Bantha Fodder
Frenzal Rhomb

A few hundred people in a small venue drinking spirits out of small buckets. All three bands went off and hung out with the crowd before and after the gig.

Awesome night.

seen em all .

from the sex pistols to Nirvana - from pink floyd to Don Mclean

However this one coming up could be one of my more memorable..

got a VIP ticket to Adam Ant @ the enmore ...get to hang out after the gig with the crazy old fugger.
Taking my Vinyl copy of "dirk wear white socks" for him to sign.
"Dirk" was Adam and the ants first record way way before ant music...pretty much uk punk of the time.

for weirdness this could rate up there with the "real life "" record launch I stumbled into in Melb about 20 or more years ago.

Best gig: Gorillaz - Amazing production and was just a really fun gig to be apart of - good audience participation and I really enjoyed the varied set.

they are awesome live. have you seen the DVD "Demon Days Live". just awesome.

I haven't been to many because I'm fairly picky in my music tastes..

Pearl Jam - 2006
Pearl Jam - 2009
Eddie Vedder - 2011

:sarcasm:

Gorillaz - 2010

If you're picky and pearl jam is your band of choice, that's quite unfortunate. I'd rate Pearl Jam right up there as one of the worst live acts I've ever seen. Saw them in 2010 and Ben Harper was so much better than the headliners.

Iron Maiden
Bad Religion
Rise Against
Mogwai
Stray Cats
RZA
MOP

Disappointing Gigs

Rage Against the Machine at the Sydney Entertainment Centre 2008

On a related note if I could time travel I'd go back in time and see Hank Williams and Bob Wills.

M83 was brilliant last night. Chatty crowd though, ruined a bit of the atmosphere during the quieter parts of songs

I thought PJ at the SFS were okay considering Eddie was coughing up a chunk of lung after every song or 2.

I should say, that I was disappointed because he got sick and didn't really get to the guts of the show, missed alot of great songs, when they were up there, they were good but I guess I just couldn't walk away happy because I payed good money.

I know it wasn't their fault as such, I'd probably pay to see them again if they come out.

Here Here!!

:b::b::b::b::b:

I honestly don't think I could ever attend another concert because nothing can impress me any more. Today was the first time since the concert I've listened to band that wasn't soundgarden and I'm listening to Audioslave.
