Hayne has looked really good, imo.

Sure, he rushed off the line a few times - but he also made some crunching tackles, and his tackle on Mansour to end the half was pure class (and that's emphasised in my mind because he initially was going for Peachey, but then made a beeline for Mansour, and saved a try).

If we go into halftime only a try up after having 60% possession, thats pretty disappointing.

I can see why you say that - but the Panthers are no mugs. They're a quality team.

A decent first half to start the season. We probably had enough opportunities to really be further ahead on the scoreboard though. Hopefully the amount of possession we have had has taken it out of the Panthers.

Panthers have been their own worst enemy for most of the half.

This is where we should really see how good we are. A genuine contender will get the job done in the second half from here.
