When Lockyer shows that he can perform like this at club level and not just for the almighty representive games then he can lay claim to being a great player.
But really at club level his a special to do a bushwalker Ben and go missing for the entire match, while classy pivots like Thurston are in the midst of the action week in week out wether they are in form or not.
I think I know what your trying to say, I'll put it in simple words for everyone to be able to understand: "I haven't watched a single Broncos match all year". Does that about capture what you were trying to say? Anyone who says that Lockyer hasn't played like that at club level this year hasn't watched a Broncos match, simple as that.
He's been great in the last couple of months and if you'd watched closely enough you would've seen that as the good form started with his match against the Knights but let me guess you watched a couple of his early matches where he'd had no off-season, no pre-season matches so had no match fitness and no game time so understandably looked underdone. Even Joey didn't look great in his first 5 games back from injury last year.
And deadset for the rest of you, read the bloody article before you post. Smith in the emotion of the moment called him the best player in the world, one man's opinion and you've all been suckered in by a misleading headline to jump on the bag Lockyer bandwagon.
