SOUTH Sydney star Greg Inglis is very upbeat about the Rabbitohs chances this season under new coach Michael Maguire, saying Souths are a big threat in the NRL title race.
Inglis, who visited the Athletes Foot at Burwood recently as an ambassador of Asics, returned from injury to play in South Sydneys first round loss to the Sydney Roosters.
Were looking forward to an exciting year at Souths, the new coach is great and we are all hoping to have a great year, Inglis said. I really enjoy getting out in the community to meet all the fans and support local businesses.
Jason Le Roux, from Burwood Athletes Foot, said fans had a chance to talk to Inglis and get his signature during the visit.
We are really excited about having the calibre of player that Greg Inglis is come to our store to promote the new range of Asics football boots, he said.
The Rabbitohs play Penrith Panthers in the third round of the season on Sunday.
