I just saw some pics of Tuqiri at the airport this morning. Im a bit dumbfounded though as to why he was not wearing an Official tigers shirt or some sort of paraphernalia to give the sponsors a plug. With all the media attention his signing has caused i think it's a bit of a lost apportunity not to harness it.
It was pretty obvious there was going to be news camera & photographers waiting for him to come out of immigration so why didnt the marketing department give Humphry's a shirt to take over to him when he was over in England the other week negotiating his release. All he had to do was ask Lote to whack it on just before he got through quarantine & he could take it off once he was in the car. It's not a major issue I know, I just think in this day & age when clubs are so relient on sponsorship dollars they owe it to said sponsors to promote their brand at every opportunity. Especially events as high profile as this, I guarante it will head every sports report tonight, a golden opportunity missed.
