I think 'hate' is a strong word, although I admit I've used it myself! Dislike is maybe more kind Lol.
But with dislike, is also respect in many ways- as is fear! You've had our number for a while and it's been ages since the Warriors have taken the Manly side in a game (hopefully it's due!). But the Storm are going to be on a mission and a half, so I'm hoping but uncertain of a GF meetup.
But the reasons I respect the Manly side: Great team, play really hard, an opposition that takes them has to play scorchingly, you don't give games away. You play almost as a single entity rather than players. It is impressive, and scary at the same time for opposition.
Some of my dislike points: -Hassler...although there's no doubt he's a great coach, responsible for that teamwork mentioned, christ he's a whinging git. Taking the mind games leaf out of the Bozo Fulton book, he plays the seige thing well, and the 'we're so hard done by' thing all the time. But can't fault it, it works. Watmough...really think this guy is a utter knuckle scraping thug. I know Manly fans would disagree, but he's in Gallon league at thuggish dirty tactics. Matai...used to respect this guy, but lost it for him in recent years. Just a loose cannon and has cost the Kiwis at times with his brain explosion cheap shots.
So- if we win tonight and made the GF- I'd be stoked as it's far exceeded my expectations, but I'd be lying if I said I was confident should we get there. But it's nice to have a villain to boo! ;-)
But again, good luck, I hope we get the chance to test ourselves against you guys, I may dislike but I do respect.
