Thats old news. Thats what everyone's been saying for at least the last fortnight. I was of the impression we re-signed him for the same length of time as Mullen :?

This is true Jobdog, but he asked for a release and was granted.

When you think about it, we couldn't expect to keep Mullen, Walsh and Dureau because they are three brilliant young blokes fighting for two spots.

If I had a chioce i would have kept Dureau and Mullen, but many others would have had Walsh over Dureau i suppose.

i agree. mullen and dureau would be a better combination. possibly walsh considered that there are three going for two positions and one is going to miss out.

Throw in the Kidley factor and it's four going for two spots. I also think Dureau has the ability to quality footy in first grade. Walsh is going to be a class player as well though. It seems if he's off to the Cowboys they see him as the longterm solution to the halfback problem they have at the moment.

Mullen could play anywhere.
Running down that Melbourne player who was doing Carney for speed shows he has the speed for winger, he has the passing game for centre, he has the vision for the halves. You could put any number from 1-7 on his back and he would star.
Dureau is bloody fast as well.

Apparently Russell Crowe shouted Danny Vaughan down for a couple of nights in Sydney. He could possibly be a Bunny next season?

Heard a rumour today that Luke Walsh is heading north to Townsville.

I cant see it happening they will have alot of halves next year (Thurston, McConnell, Firman, Muspratt, B.Payne and Nicolau) So why would they want Walsh.

If he does go it would be a shame.

i thought Firman was going to be a rep player when he started at Dragons. I feel sorry for him. He used to seem to have so much time with the ball in hand like joey. These days he can't secure a spot even though there are no great alternatives.

I hope he does go. At least he would get a game - and will go well for them next year I reckon.

Oh you make me laugh swampy. Not sure where you heard that rubbish. Would be good if he got another club. Because then he would get a game.

It sounded like bullsh*t, Russel Crowe singling out a player who spends most his time in the real NRL...

I understand that russell did see him play when he played premier league last. But I very much doubt that he would of put him in a hotel for a few days. It doesn't take a few days to talk about signings. And most of it would of been through his manager anyway.

Well I didn't want to add this but the Danny Vaughan thing pretty well came from the horses mouth.

I read a report in the paper a few weeks back as well. Crowe gave Vaughan a call on his mobile and at first he thought that it was a prank.

Apparently Crowe is a big fan of Vaughan's after he saw him play in some rep games up the north coast last year.
