I think you will find Jacob halaganua(the dragons kid) and Latu finu both were in our 15s dev squads. We have been getting raided. We lost Charbel to Melb and Roman kid(another good young prop) to the Raiders both recently, wo very promising young forwards.

Not only do we have the most talent, we have been focused in retaining and keeping and all time ridiculously good team together and winning premierships. The kids will keep coming through tho its nothing to worry about to much. IMO we have two of the better talents 20 or under in Luron and McLean, im really hopeful for Lemoto(the one we who stayed).

I also think based on the club going out and getting a number 18-20yos from other clubs, Lamont,

Sialetili Faeamani, Armstrong, Clarke, another young half just recenlty, im forgetting some also. We have always made these types of signings but we have ramped it up lately, i think they have realised they let the juniors get raided a bit to much. Hopefully for the kids that 14,15,16 in penrith now they focus a bit more on keeping them.

This is the squad tracker for jersey flegg and all the signings and that for this year. Quite interesting actually

Probably not the right thread but we should be paying close attention to the raiders players contracts over the next couple years cause they have thrown a lot of money at a lot of juniors and they can afford them all now, but in a year or two they will be in trouble cap wise. They have no one on rep type money in their spine or outside backs, that will change soon they are going to have to give out some very large upgrades, good players will get squeezed out.

Saw that St Mary’s Saints Massey side have Bryce Cartwright and Michael Jennings as well as Christian Crichton playing for them now

Luron Patea‘s younger brother scored a try worth watching in the Flegg game on Friday night. It was our last in the dying minutes beat or brushed off half a dozen tacklers to score. Worth a look on either Bar TV or if the highlights are available on NSWRL If they show them any more given Bar TV have the rights.

Halfback successors, schoolboy wonders: The young guns every NRL club will build their futures around

Player: Jack Attard
Position: Fullback
The Panthers have let go a couple of other potential long-term fullbacks in Isaiah Iongi (Parramatta) and Liam Ison (Cronulla) in recent years because of two reasons – Dylan Edwards being a long-term star and the emergence of Attard. The Australian Schoolboy is contracted until the end of 2027.

We'll see. A lot of promising guys have come through and become nothing.

Jamie Oljenik, Greg Waddell, Harry Sjeika. Feel free to add to what would be a lengthy list. It is sad to see and why you should never “big them up” too much and pay too much. Anything can happen, sometime in a positive way. My nephew played with Brian To’o when he was kid and said he was very average as a junior player (conceded he had lots of guts and worked hard). My nephew said “He was just small and nothing special”. He never would have predicted he would become one of the greatest wingers to ever play the game.

That said, we seem to be much better at bringing through players than we ever have been before. They are grounded and ready to play. Ivan’s mantra of “keep it simple and just do your job” seems to work well. The chip kicks inside your own 20m and the round the corner offloads can wait until you can handle the basics first. Ivan wouldn’t tolerate Lomax’s flick pass to the front row that he used to do when he started at the Dragons. Terrible coaching.

Blaise is a perfect example. He has focused on his defense and the difference from last year is incredible. He regularly topped the try causes and missed tackle count for the Eels. Now he seems to embrace the contact. He was getting pummeled by Lomax and just hung in there. Great to see.
