Gagan a better finisher?

I know Feki has had problems with this recently but still has heaps of tries.

I wouldn't replace him if fit but I would never choose Beale on the wing.

A fit Gagan needs to be in our side. He has height, speed, leaping ability and is a better finisher than Feki Beale and Bird.

Can he tackle & can he read the play i.e. does he stay on his wing. Nothing shits me more than a 2 on 2 situation & the winger gets sucked in & leaves his man unmarked.

Yep. Wingers who rush in for the soft option intercept, or just dont have a crack or cant read the play. Its our glaring weakness. Ohh & Feki sometimes stuffs up too.
Gagan has the fastest recorded 100m time of anybody at the club. He is genuine speed & will get back there when he fully recovers.
he is by far & away, the best option at our club for winger.

Yes unfortunately. He plays right wing , more naturally, & that spot is apparently under lock & key until somebodies manager has a whinge about not getting the fullback(higher paid) position.

& gagan is the best right hand winger in the club. If he had have been playing in the company of our current first grade team for the entire year he would be on well over 20 trys. He just has so many other facets to his game. Like support play. Like bombs. etc etc.
But not only that, his defense in 14 was what impressed me the most. Excellent reader of the play & big body to combat the larger wingers.

Why hasn't he played? Was it due to his injury at the start of the year and recovery from the Achilles? That's what happens in football. Miss a few weeks and the team wins 15 in a row.

I think you will find that somebody is in the undroppable basket. Like, you can bomb 4 try let 2 in whilst the guy underneath can score 2 & still not get a start.

Also our number 11 wouldn't look out of place on the bench. Very powerful runner how has a handy off load

That's Malakai Houma. Has gone ahead of his older brother Saul imo and is a good prospect. Massive unit, certainly has the size for NRL.

Yes, Yorkston was pretty good. Very strong around the upper body & doesn't get manhandled like a lot of young outside backs can.

Gagan now has 15 tries in NSW cup for the year despite not getting much ball in some games. He's a high level finisher

yes PJ. he will eventually end up in the back row or centre.
Like I said, he is a natural right wing & that is where he needs to progress through. & that position is not available at our club
