Arsenal again linked with £14million midfielder
12:00 PM 13 February, 2009
Arsenal Football Club have again been linked with Niko Kranjcar.
Arsene Wenger is a huge fan of the Croatian international midfielder, who admits he would quit Portsmouth if a bigger club came knocking.
"It was always my intention to move to a bigger club, it is always like that in your career," the former Dinamo Zagreb man told the Daily Mirror. "If an offer came from a larger club, of course I would want to go."
As much as Pompey would hate to lose Kranjcar, it is believed the Gunners are willing to pay as much as £14million for the playmaker.
Arsenal reach £12million agreement for Barcelona star

According to reports, Yaya Toure will head to Arsenal in the summer.
Arsene Wenger has been chasing the Ivory Coast international for some time, and is said to have made an enquiry for him before this season started.
Reports in the News of the World claim the Londoners have now agreed a £12million price for the 25-year-old brother of current Gunners star Kolo.
This would be a superb piece of business for Wenger, who has missed a real presence in his midfield since selling Patrick Vieira to Juventus.
Liverpool fight Arsenal over number 4?
02:45 PM 16 February, 2009
Liverpool and Arsenal are vying for the services of 20-year-old defender Bruno Ecuele Manga.
The 6ft 1" Gabonese player, who wears the number 4 at French second tier side Angers SCO, has been in France for 3 years already so may not have too many problems gaining a UK work permit.
"It is fantastic to get noticed by huge clubs from the Premier League. It means I am doing well," he told skysports.com.
"What I need to do is to concentrate on improving my game and see what happens.
"However, it would be a dream come true to play for a top team. Three years ago I was at FC105 of Libreville (in his homeland) and today I am linked with the best league in the world.
"It is unbelievable, but I am calm. Angers will have the last word anyway. They are the team that gave me my big chance, so they will play a big part in any decision."

AC Milan are expected to send Philippe Senderos back to Arsenal at the end of the season.
The Switzerland international is on a season-long loan with Milan, but his time at the San Siro has been plagued by injury.
Mediaset says Milan chiefs Adriano Galliani and Ariedo Braida are expected to send Senderos back to Arsenal in June.
Something that will make CC Eagle happy!

Young Davor Suker linked with Arsenal
02:13 PM 19 February, 2009
Sources have suggested that Gunners scouts were disappointed not to catch Duje Cop in action at the Estádio da Madeira on Friday, when Nacional took on Vitoria Guimaraes.
The 19-year-old forward has only played a couple of times in the Portuguese Liga and his last run out was 55 minutes against Leixoes on 1st February 2008.
The Croatia U-19 international wears the number 9 at Nacional, which has led pundits to describe him a "young Davor Suker".
ARSENE WENGER is close to landing £4million PSG ace Mamadou Sakho.
The Arsenal boss has been tracking the versatile defender, 18, ever since he broke through to PSGs first team.
Sakho became PSGs youngest ever captain when he was 17, which also made him the youngest player to captain a French Ligue 1 team.

Arsenal are ready to step up their interest in Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Arsene Wenger is determined to land a new goal-getter in the summer, and the Dutch international is said to be his definite top target.
The 25-year-old only joined Real Madrid from Ajax in a £17million move in January, but widespread reports suggest he is already unsettled.
It is believed the Spanish giants would be prepared to let him leave at the end of the season, and the Gunners hope to land him for just £12million.
Ironically, Huntelaar scored the first ever goal at the Emirates Stadium, when he netted for Ajax in Dennis Bergkamps testimonial match in 2006.
I wouldn't trust anything that comes from fansfc.com.
