LU Tipping - Super League and Challenge Cup

Had a poor start to the year in your tipping comps? Unpredictability of the season making you wish you could start all over again?

Well starting this week, a new tipping comp launches here, as part of the overall website. It can be found at http://www.tippingunlimited.com and replaces the "Top Tipper" competition that was around last year. Competitions have been set up for Super League (commencing Round 5) and Challenge Cup (commencing Round 4).

Regiatrations for competitions will stay open until 30 April, with tips being based on the away teams for any rounds that people miss. To play click "Register" in the top left hand menu at http://www.tippingunlimited.com (or via the TippingUnlimited link in the navigation bar at the top of the forum pages).

Once you do the usual thing where you click the link you are sent by email (check your spam folder if it doesn't come through instantly) and log in, to tip for Super League or Challenge Cup (or anything else) you first need to "Choose Competition" from the User Control panel on the right. Then when you're ready to tip, click "Manage My Tips" on the right, and away you go!

Deadlines are the kick-off times for for each game, times are displayed in Sydney times with the adjustments. Leaderboards etc will be available once the results start coming in, this is pick the winner only. Two points for a correct tip, four points if you correctly tip a draw, one bonus point if you tip the exact round correctly.

Challenge Cup games for the next round (30 March-1 April) may not be available to tip just yet, but will be there as soon as the exact dates and times of the matches are confirmed. I will put a note here when the Cup rounds are open and available, otherwise Super League rounds should just run from one week to the next.

A good response so far, with 26 people signed up for the Super League comp starting this weekend. I'm looking forward to defending my title from last years TopTipper tip the winners section in this new comp

Plenty of time to get organised and register for free, end of April is the deadline if you can cop playing with points from away teams for any rounds you miss. Best to get in from the start though...

Next Challenge Cup round isn't showing up yet, not sure what's doing, but running as a separate comp that won't need to start for a few weeks yet.

Spike maintains his early lead but is joined in front by earl park riot. Half way point of the season proper, a long way to go and a hell of a lot of people on 54 points - or is that just the default away teams score? (And thanks to BILLYBOY for saving me some embarassment... must try harder!)

This year's just the first run and we started off mid-season. Hopefully next year is bigger and better and we can start off in February.
