Really happy to see Luai and Turuva win the GF. I feel like if they hadn't, they might think they had unfinished business at Panthers.

I'm hearing a lot about how Luai is at training. He barks orders and expects perfection from his teammates. I have a feeling he is going to butt heads with a lot of players at the Tigers, which I'm 100% all for.

No more f**king excuses. Everyone apart from Api better do exactly what Luai tells them or they can fk off

Agree, I think Api is a great player, but not a good captain, while he leads by example, he doesn't seem to insist that others follow.

I think Luai should be team captain, as he is the type that will insist on everyone playing their role or cop a mouth full. I remember a game the Pennies were playing, where they had a set move and the centre didn't turn up in in the right position, Luai gave him a serve on the field, that's what we need.

I believe we've had teams that are better than the spoon, but too many players are not willing to do what is needed or go missing when it was needed.

Certainly better times ahead.

That world cup for samoa took Luai's leadership to another level. He wasn't known for that at the Panthers but when he had no choice but to lead Samoa after that first game against England he's confidence grew with it. Jarome Hughes said the same thing playing for the Kiwis. Off season training is going to be crucial for the Tigers

Fullback and you will see his best. Problem is Bula needs to be in the 13 as well. Not a bad problem to have. I'm genuinely excited to see what he and Luai can do in the black and gold next year.
I think Bula could benefit from a year or two in the centres/wing. He’s a huge talent but has a few issues with his game (has an error under the high ball in him and can kill a shift not passing quickly enough). Maybe having Turuva there brings the best out of him, although he’s already seen Laurie off.

Apparently he played centre as a junior. Our centres r garbage so ideally he holds his own in the centres for us as Turuva can effectively handle fullback.

I actually think we are short wingers at the moment. If Bula plays in the centres I can see Toa or Olam having to move to the wing the accomodate. I don’t mind Olam as a winger but he will have to calm down defensively as he likes to rush up and put a shot on.

Luai was awesome in that first half especially. If he can take us to the finals then it cements his legacy as a top 5 player in the game. It's a big ask, but seems like the sort of challenge that drives him.

Regarding Turuva, no need to over complicate it - he plays wing. Bula has shown enough to persevere with at fullback, and Turuva is fantastic in all areas for a winger.

Agree, it’s Bula’s to lose.
And we have a very handy backup if needed.

My hope is that Luai will be our defacto coach next year, setting and driving standards.

He's the most important signing in the club's history by far. If he comes here and eventually gives up because he can't implement a winning culture, then the club may as well pull down the shutters.

This is a guy who knows more about winning than the rest of the club combined.
