Hmmm ... well I thought it was okay.
Put it this way, I was entertained which is the ultimate goal of any movie.
Would a non-poker fan like it? Hard to say.
I mean, I loved the cameos - Negreanu, Matusow, Chan, Greenstein, Harman etc etc.
And to be honest ghoulies, poker scenes in movies are always dodgy but I've seen worse - at least we weren't seeing a royal flush beat quads! :lol:
Obviously that final hand between the father and son would NEVER have played out like that even before he mucked, but hey, it's a movie after all.
I honestly don't know whether to recommend it if you're not a poker player or poker fan. I only watched it for that reason.
Oh, Mr Fahrenheit, it's a movie about a poker player who is an unfulfilled talent but meets a chick that helps him see the light, so to speak.
