Silverdale you're outrage meter seems to be working at 'weekend rates'

Never known another human being to be 'outraged' so frequently, by it seems so little.

Will be very amused (only for Silverdale) if Brooks goes to another club and does wonderfully well.

Not unlike P Momirovski, Nathan Brown, Andrew Faifita and of course Josh Addo Carr.

The scary thing Silverdale is all but one got a premiership ring at the new club too.

(this coment is only for Silverdale's benefit: I'm sorry to all others for trashing this thread)

Ac

Actually they are.

Ac

Actually they are.

I think it’s a ploy by us to drive up his price or exercise increased leverage.

A snow job and not even addressing Brooksys complaint about Madge.

Well at least we have at least two more player insurgents outed in public this pre season.

Pearce has booked his ticket and if the knights really want Brooksy it’s going to hurt.

Typical of Pearce to care so much about others. Doing the right thing has always been his forte.

I wonder how much Fluffy the poodle will cost to bring over. Those french winter months get very lonely unless he can text another mates girlfriend in French.

If this is true, and it probably isn't, it's good to see other teams in the comp have management just as bad as us. What games are Newcastle watching to think "Luke Brooks? He's what we need to take us to the next level."
Superb insight.

A big night for O’Brien, hits his head on a pokie on his way out of the club and had a vision.

Five Brooksys in a row… jackpot.

I could see us ending up Kyle Flanagan after all this. It would be so typical of WT.

The best outcome for Isaac Moses is that Brooks (his player) goes to newcastle. Moses always wants his players to go to clubs where his clients are coaches. Moses will also be telling Brooks that he should consider asking for a release even if the Tigers want him to stay.

If the Knights / Bulldogs offer Brooks a contract extension then that earns Moses more $$$
The Tigers wont be looking to extend Brooks right now (I would think anyway)

I'd be hopeful of a better 2022 if Brooks is moved on but that is conditional on us getting in a decent prop forward to replace him.

The knights were talking about punting Klemmer a few months ago. He is about the same age as Brooks, they have the same length of contract (2023), on similar money and both managed by Moses. I think Klemmer playing in front of hastings and Madden would be an improvement for the Tigers.

But we have no depth to be able to let him go and Sheens has said he’s staying, so I don’t think it’s an issue atm?

While a lot of this all does smell of bs...even all the stories of Hastings coming to our club makes you feel like the media are creating a narrative that Brooks wants to get out. Give it a few more days and there will be a article about how Brooks is unhappy about Hastings arrival without a single quote from anyone.

It all stinks it does

Lol sheens already into it.

Master and Commander of all he sees through zoom in quarantine.

$850k in the kitty should be enough to secure a release from another half somewhere.

In a pinch we could put Peachey, Laurie or another into 5/8 until Doogie is fit. Hastings will cover hb easily.

Not being rude about Brooksy and I’m not sure if it was game plan but he didn’t have too many tricks in his kicking game.

Who remembers momo this season, belting down the wing replete with pin point kicks leading to tries under the post out of niwhere

In the space of a couple of plays we see more ingenuity, enterprise, surprise and guile than Brooksy has offered us for several years.

This is from a utility “factory” back who needs a good captains run to take the paddock.

Theres no six set all points bulletin broadcast to the opposing fullback or winger that Brooksy often issues.

brooks plays like a 15 gamer, despite having played 150. He will have some good touches and plays but at the key moments he will overhit a kick or misplace a pass. He just isn’t clinical enough to be a top 8 halfback, a lot like Sandow

A big part of me wants to see Brooks go to Knights to see once and for all whether it was Brooks or Tigers that was the issue.

As much as it pains me, I'd love to see him kill it at the Knights....and we all say "yeah but Frizell is killing it for us at WT so fair player swap"

Not enough threat but more recently, he hasn’t been alone.

He might also be feeling a bit personally let down by some players negative over-reactions to his club gong. Not directed at him personally, but nonetheless a cold feeling about it.

And the imminent and tangible threat of young Hastings. Comparisons will be made.

Ive always felt he had confidence issues. Just a personality thing and Im not being critical.
Madge had to take him aside last year after those opening rounds where he lost the plot for a player of his experience.

He was given, mmm, I think it was a grace period of 5 rounds before he was summoned for a welfare check in a private lunch to see how he was.

He started a recovery of some sort later, but the season was gone.

One thing Harto seemed to get right was that most of the players he let go generally went off quietly into the night and haven’t really been heard of since.

Brooksy is on massive dollar and we are having to replace him now. So he must go I think. I hear he’s ok in person.
