Brooks game has improved a bit, I won’t say a lot, he still dies with the ball on last too much imo, but better than the first 7 games.

So, do we still chase a 7 or a 6?

Does Wakeham retain his spot over Brooks in our future?
Or
Keep the current two to develop a better combination?

We need a half back, Brooks has been okay the last couple of weeks but we’re still having massive dramas scoring points, if over the next few weeks we can keep the good footy going and he starts to set a few tries up with decent passes in the opp 20 you’d be happy enough to go along with him. His kicking game has been pretty good seems to be getting a few more bombs into the opp red zone, still not finding the in goal with last tackle plays but there seems to be a plan just to turn the ball over to the opposition on the last and get the defensive line set, I’d rather gamble on a try, getting the ball back or give away a 7 tackle set than die with it but….

Tend to agree, Leopards don't change their spots. It is our weakest link.
But his last two games have shown what we’ve been needing and missing from a halfback.
Whatever happens, I just hope the f**k he isn’t putting this effort in to get his new (possibly last) contract.

No buts…
It makes me laugh how Brooks decides to go walkabout looking for a gap to run through, while other halves at least have a dummy or they create a situation where they can pass or kick as a last option but not Brooks. He runs into a dead end or gets tackled every single time… Problem is he can’t assess, plan, execute . That cut out pass (I think it was the last tackle) , that looked like he’d seen something. In fact he saw nothing but passed anyway and the receiver was tackled on the spot.
…see ya later

The 28-year-old is without a contract for 2024 and it has been revealed the club have begun negotiations to extend his current deal.

According to 10News Jelisa Apps, Sheens revealed the news on Friday and said they “plan on making an offer beyond this year”.

f**k, I thought this would happen:(

This has ruined my day.

Unforgivable decision by the imbeciles.

Hmm your biggest problem this year is scoring points so you better extend your halfback who will surely come good in 2024. I feel sorry for the fans.

While it is fun to knock Brooks, deservedly so based on his salary, if we resign him for 400k and he plays outside SJ or (prays to the footy gods) Hunt it won’t be the worst option and given what is on the market with AD basically out for next year probably the best we could hope for

More chance of petrol going back to 75c a litre then us signing Brooks for 400k.
We will continue to underwhelm with him running the show.
