My favourite game was when we beat the Dragons and effectively got the minor premiership. And in particualr when Barrett was more interested in donkey punching then winning the game.

Was that the game where all the Dragons players stopped to tried to break up the fight between him and PJ not realising that it was still play on and Wade McKinnon scored a length of the field try?

Another fine example set by the second most experiencd player in our team.

Its one thing to have a blinder against a rookie 19 year old winger when we win by 40, but yet again in a tough game he goes missing. Poor defensive decisions, lack of involvement. Is this the culture we want in our club?

I hope he has an invloved ,enthusatic second 40 and I eat my words. These 'efforts' are typical of his career and the up & down nature of our side.

Offer him a PR role at the club where he's good attitude and people skills might come in handy.

Meh.

Let me go on record first: I don't like Burt - he has very obvious flaws in his game which he doesn't want to change.

HOWEVER: by now surely we know what we're getting with him? He's a "frontrunner" --> when we're playing well, he has a chance to shine. But Burt is just NOT the kind of guy to "dig us out of a hole".

So deal with it! No need to get upset when he has his "vanishing act" games - we're simply not winning the game. Do I want him to be "better" or "try harder" to help out? Sure, but Burt is taking less than Ando's "wingers salary" and for the money, he's decent enough!
