that is right, we won tonight. they play for each other

coach knows best, that is his job

if it was a one man sport it would be called tennis

That's completely right mate.

I have recently taken a lighter side to supporting the team I adore - no matter who plays, if we play well and win, I don't care who stuffs up and how many times.

I mean imagine if Burt let in 16 tries in the Grand Final, but we still won....Who could possibly give a toss?

Big difference mate that I thought even YOU would have spotted.

F**king Burt has been doing this for 6 years now.

Young Timmy has 22 games under his belt.

If Timmy is playing like Burt does now in 6 years time, don't worry, he'll be copping the same.

Suity

Well obviously I am too DUMB for you suity....sorry - I'll stand in hte corner and have no opinion :-#

PS: in 2003 Luke Burt was having an outstanding season at fullback until he copped a season ending injury.....I thought even YOU might have remembered that far back.

Yaaaaayh. Whoopee. Ring out the church bells, strike up the band and cue dancing girls and the tickertape parade through Church Street, for the great and wonderful Luke Burt has led us to victory and the promised land.

Maybe when it all quietens down, we will notice that the Warriors were playing a young kid in Simon Mannering in the centres.

Coach Smith picks up on this and directs attack down that side.
Burt looks good beating a young kid, all his fans will gloat and say "I told you so"

Yaaayh.

Are you implying Burt SHOULDN'T have been able to outplay Mannering?

Are you implying it was a dumb tactic to send all our traffic that way?

And who's gloating?

Obviously you're so blinded by your hatred of Luke you can't give him the kudos he deserves.

He played SOLIDLY.

Not brilliantly - he made a few errors.

But he didn't cost us the game and played OK.

Thats right - no one is saying Burt is brilliant, just sticking up for him when we feel he played OK, but YET ANOTHER "I had Luke Burt" thread pops up.

I tend to agree - he isn't the world's best utility back. Not by a fair shot.

Byt why is it some people feel compelled to have a go at their own? I mean, when it comes down to it, he IS a Blue and Gold player, and he DID score 2 tries and set up another few.

Sure, he has his issues - but so does every player.

No player is perfect.

And when one player who isn't brilliant plays a solid game, he gets this sort of treatment.

Some of you think he should not be in the Top 17 - get used to it. He WILL be there.

Try to will him on to the try line instead of death ride him. You know, just for a change.

People are blowing up because of who he is holding out of first grade. If John Williams was terrible we wouldn't say anything, but he's a good player and Burt is AWFUL and isn't up to first grade standard. All these Luke Burt sucks threads, did anyone take the time to think "hmm maybe since there is so many, they may be right?" No, instead you all jump to his defence and bash us for bashing this first grade PRETENDER.

Oh and we don't hate him, we hate the fact that he is selected every week no matter how bad he is, or how good the PL wingers are, he's f**king invincible in Smithy's eyes and it's a bloody joke. He needs to be DROPPED, not moved to 18th man and somehow squeezed into the side at the last minute by Smithy, dropped completely and named in premier league.

The funny thing is Parradude Jay, is that if Burt played for someone else, he would be the "other Covell"

Burt is sh*t. As per usual the Burt lovers come out every 10 weeks when burt has a 1 ok game. Long time between drinks guys. See u in another 10 weeks.

We'll see how he goes against the Bullscum next week, He seems to always get run over by one of there players.

1) I only started this thread cause I knew it would stir up some heat :D

2) I actually thought Burt played well. He did make a few errors, but he kept us in the game in the first half and made that excellent break in the second (I thought it was great how he realised that he wasn't going to out run Webb so headed across field, staying away from the Warriors, until he could link up with the centre on the opposite side of the field). When it comes down to it, the only game that mattered in Burt's career was the one he played last night, and he played it well. Good on him, I say.
