I've been lurking on these forums for way too long. A post from another newbie prompted me to finally sign up, so I too wanted to introduce myself.

I'm from Melbourne and I hadn't watched much NRL until last year, when my Storm fanatic boss took us to a game. Then my girlfriend, who's from NSW and always loved the Eels, says hey, you go to rugby with your boss you better be prepared to watch the Eels on TV with me - mind you at midnight most weeks thanks to Foxtel / Ch9.

So I read the NRL rulebook. I figured I'd go for the Eels and I got a beenie. Being from Melbourne and a passisonate supported of any sport, I got into it pretty quickly. By the start of this year, I knew the team, and I knew I was pretty into NRL when I was getting frustrated watching the games.

Then we went and met Hayne when he came to Melbourne for the Origin game. He looked honestly shocked when I said to him: we love watching you every week, you're having a great year. Maybe he thought I was crazy because the Eels were not doing so well.

Now I look back on the past weeks since Origin and I think it has been one of the most exciting times in my life. So sorry people of Melbourne. I confess. I'm into Rugby League. I'm getting a membership in 2010. Go Eels!

Walk towards the Light!!! It's the Hume Highway it will lead you to the Promised land this side of the border..

Just be careful to walk with the flow of Traffic cos you don't want the Lights to be those of a B Double flying towards you.
