Lyall,

That was your first real game seeing us play i wonder how you feel, how can you change that rabble out there.

I wonder whether you ran into supporters after the game and long suffering would have said well thats another day in paradise, nothing changes here, year in year out same performance, same screw ups, we go through the motions.

Whether we are talked up to have a good season, or tipped to fun last we end up playing the bloody same way.

Lyall somehow you need to fix this, otherwise we will yet go through the same process.

Hint have a chat to guy on the pennisula GT see if he is interested coming over the bridges we need a real coach here, who can make the hard decisions

Seriously???

Toovs had footballers in his side. Guys who had skills that were natural. Lyon, Stewarts, DCE, matai, hiku etc. even watmough.

We have guys who made their name as athletes with power or big motors. Two attributes that can cover up skill deficiency. Last night showed that we either don't have the skills or football brain to compete or that the players are playing to a set plan or the experienced members are doing their own thing.

Toovs wouldn't make a difference with our squad. His head would explode. A few times the run of the green went against us. I'm ok with that, that decision should and will always go with the team playing better.

The only positive we can pull from that is we can't get much worse and its round one.

Felt sorry for Gorman.

The 34th ranked baton twirler had to twirl to no music. The Mermaids danced in silence. Sonia Lewis hardly a raging success either. Strange. In the Summertime Bar, heavily promoted as the place for a beer before the game, they were asking for Id and or Members cards!

Would you go up to him and say that? He's pretty accessible, you really should go seek him out.

Having seen Lyall at one of the forums, I think he knowes exactly what the challenges are at Cronulla and he's relishing the challenge, and that's what motivated him to take the job on.

How about some of the positives?

- Production of the pregame videos (team announcement, etc.) were much better quality.
- Even though the speakers were the same, overall the sound was much better in the ET Stand.
- The male announcer was fairly good, whilst Mrs Lewis seemed uncomfortable and awkward - but I think she'll improve.
- I thought the amount of rides and activities for kids on the hill were more than previous seasons.

Agree with this. Will be interesting to see how he deals with Flanno if nothing improves and we keep playing boring footy that ultimately turns fans away.

We need to go through a change somewhat like what the roar did in the A League when Ange took over. Complete overhaul of playing style and coaching methods. Start fresh with a new coach and build something entertaining. Flanno is f**ked.

Totally agree Lyall needs to put broom through place, we have stated that we have moved on from ASADA but re appointing Flanno for 3 years, this before Lyall got there will always come up, Flanno association with the club will be forever linked to ASADA.

This one hurts to say but Gallen is the other major player in this and come end of season maybe we let him go, it wont be popular but we will have moved on completely.

At that point it will be Lyall's club and this way he can move forward and make us successful, as we all want that elusive premership

Bingo if we lose to the Broncs friday night, we will be already under the pump, as losses to two clubs who are not in the top part of the league, and 2 wins we would have marked down

A good start would be removing our pretender of a coach and the Gymea Gorillas circle friends behind him.

All the genuine chest beating and positive propaganda in the past few months has been great and no just fluffiness - as this guy has the runs on the board at the wanderers.

Proven.

BUT...the elephant in the room amidst all the power points, forums and member emails was...

Flanno.

At the end of the day - as Gorman said - we are a football club and what makes supporters happy?

A winning team.

If we ran out yesterday and the side didn't mirror the hope and hypothesis' that Lyall was sprouting too many of us would've felt that we hadn't moved in inch in the rebuilding process.

And we did run out and we did show that on the training paddock the same keystone cop jumble of turd is still being developed.

Good players are still making schoolboy errors.

Big signings are still sinking to lowest denominators.

And ordinary sides are still made to look like SOO stars when they play us.

You want change Lyall?...TRUE change?.....you only have to look at one guy.

Frenzy.

What about Mark Warren , I thought I was watching the Amco Cup with his ridiculous ground announcing.
