Read the post Neville.

Thanks, but my name's not Neville.

What's this 'instant gratification' you speak of? How long have you been waiting?? Over 40 years for me. Unless our dumbarse coach makes some changes, we have another couple of years waiting for our 'instant gratification'.

You are kidding. We were done by a mere 4 points. We started off slowly and played catch up. The difference was a run away try, against the run of play. We made several stupid mistakes that allowed them to get out of gaol. We did win the second half but just not quite enough.
Three teams were beaten by nearly 30 points, including Manly, Cows and Bronks. We didn't win, we played under expectations. the players know this, the coaching staff know this, Lyall Gorman knows this.
They also know that the fickle, impatient, transient fan group want instant gratification. Well these bulimic followers will just have to be patient and let the others do their job. The results will be known in September.

It's not relevant. Those teams got smashed by much better teams then the raiders. Manly are a basket case at present so I wouldn't include them.

Considering we had Flanno's top 15 out of 17 on the paddock it was a disgraceful effort by the coach

It's fine to say it's only round 1 blah blah blah..

But when the coach doesn't have the balls to put Gallen at prop and picks players like Mitch Brown, Arona etc for the first round, after a good off season by some of our young guys in the trials and the 9's. Then we lose after a woeful performance at our home ground in front of a very average side. People have the right to be annoyed. Especially when there is a good chance he won't make any changed any time soon. Imagine how the likes of Holmes and Bird feel being left out for some of these blokes.

I could just imagine, "Valentine, mate you're playing under 20's this week mate. Mitch is gonna take your spot." What a kick in the guts.

Holmes has alrights to be annoyed over Brown getting picked, and if it continues, the scenario will be Holmes is home sick wants out of Sydney

Bird - Again should have been there, the question that concerns me is that Price did not pick him at Dragons, and Bird has to deal with him again

We played a crap side, those sides you mentioned played very slick sides.

We embarrassed ourselves out of any chance of victory against a certain bottom 4 team.

I joined the Cronulla Caringbah Leagues Club in 1965. So you could say I am an original member of the Sharkies as the Crounlla Sutherland Football Club was formed from the bones of the CCFC. I played grade with Cronulla Caringbah for 5 years before then. Please don't tell me about waiting for 40 years, because I've been waiting a bloody lot longer than you.

So that gives you the right to belittle the supporters?? Cause looking through the threads that's all you've done.

No, that's not correct. I've just responded to some inane comments from people who in fact belittle players and the coaching staff.

I'll call the mugs for what they are. If I have insulted you, then I'm sorry. there are a lot of committed and passionate supporters on here. There are also a lot who are just serial knockers.

Don't insult the players, don't insult the coach and I'll support and respect your opinions. Try to behave like adults, most here do. I notice that on other forums the moderators have been advised that the site will be shut down and people sued for defamation if the personal abuse, of players and staff continues. Apparently that message hasn't reached here yet.

Some forget that this site is visible to the general public, that includes players, their families and friends. The word travels.

I was just very disappointed by the "slow start" and attitude shown by the players in the first half. I've seen early season home game efforts like this before (eg: 18-0 v Newcastle in 2012), but you would think they'd learn from the past. There is no such thing as an easy game.

As far as last Sunday's effort the players should cop the flack as it was deserved, the problem was largely attitude in my humble opinion.

Ill reserve my right to comment on players performances all day long. We made a huge mistake going into the season with Robson as basically our only halfback and that falls back onto Flanno who IMO is not the coach to take us forward.

Correct, and the backups to Robson a injury prone Stanley who gone for season, and a untested Murphy.

Nu'Brown is a utility and was to play hooker.

And it wasnt that we dont have money to play with there was clubs wanting Ayshford but Flanno would not release him
