Netted their second-highest crowd of the season: 12,127.

Even if the announcement was a let-down at least they got to watch a close match.

DAVY BLOWS PRICE STRUCTURE APART

With Ken Davy's historic words still fresh in supporters ears www.giantsrl.com can confirm that adult season tickets next year for the 2009 Engage super league campaign can be purchased from Tuesday at the stadium from just £80 !!

In a move that blows apart any previous pricing strategies ever seen at the club Managing Director Richard Thewlis is looking for a bumper uptake:

“To reduce adult season ticket prices by over 50% is a staggering move and one that I am confident will prove to be a pivotal moment in our history. We are trying here to establish ourselves as one of the top clubs in the world and to do that we need increased support."

"Just going through some of the prices its clear that the £80 for anyone with a Giants or Town season ticket is the headline grabber but there are others there too. Concessions are down to just £65 and as always all under 12’s are free of charge to emphasize to everyone that this is a family game that the kids love."

"In my opinion this strategy provides the community of Huddersfield and the wider floating rugby league supporters a one off opportunity to get on board with the club and enjoy a thrilling season of super league. There are two new teams in the competition, we have one of the top coaches in the game joining us and we are promising even more signings to bolster an already impressive squad and the future is very very exciting. “

Full ticketing details for the 2009 campaign to follow shortly.

So GBP 80 roughly equals AUD $170.00.

why not aim for it.

its the birthplace of RL, they have a fantastic ground, its in the heartlands and theyve more than doubled their crowds since 2000.

i believe the giants can average 15,000 within a few years

they wont be the biggest but they will be a strong club

nrl clubs should do it...its a quick way to get members and get the crowds up..

12 home games sell it for $120 and people will take it up, cheap deals with public transport could be a winner
