No one would seriously question where the Roosters commitments lie.

They must and do lie with FG.

But allowing Soward to play one more FG game with limited time off the bench OR allowing him to lead his Newtown chargers around the park during finals footy and hopefully in the big one on Grand Final day, would be in their best interests of Sowards development for 2007.

Surely Blind Freddy (pun intended) can see that.

Manfred Moore!...long time no hear!.....welcome back :)

Ta Nbb. Its great to be back!

In fact even made it back to the 25th Anniversary last weekend at Petershem... literally surrounded by gods. Childhood heros like Blythey, Bowdo, Squeaky, Siggy, Micky Ryan, Ray Blacklock (is this man an ornament to the game or what?)

They love the old days and f**k can't they tell a good yarn!

Tommy's pre-match speech to Blythey in 81 about 'Bring me Sterlo's eyeball! I want to eat it like an oyster' was a classic.

Fantastic day.

To see the packed house at Henson later on (and that was just on the field at halftime!) reminded me about all that is good in Rugby League.

Sorry but I digress....:D

GO THE JETS!

Being on the bench in the NRL is a lot more important now than 15 years ago. RL is now a 17 man game. Being picked on the bench in NRL is almost as good as being picked in the run on side. That is how the Roosters would see it and that is how it should be viewed.

Disagree there Jeffles.

For a forward yeah sure bench or start it dont matter much, but for a utility/back you can get very limited game time (sometimes no time) from the bench.

BTW are the roosters playing that well at the moment with the side they're putting out there? If they're serious about first grade then Mitchy Aubusson should be given a run.

Anyhows I actually believe Soward should START first grade. But if he's not then give the boy some finals time in the premier league! Will it make him into a better player next year if he went all the way to the GF in Premier League? Probably. Would playing off the bench this weekend do much for him next year? Doubtful the way they've been playing.

Its an emotional argument and one I will probably lose, but f**k it when it comes to the jets....
